I seriously hope to see Maroney soon because I want to see him have a decent season for once. He can split carries with Fred Taylor to keep Taylor fresh.

He's in the doghouse.

He got benched for the playoffs last year.

He barely played in the preseason.

If he was hurt, he wouldn't have played at all last week.

Its funny how there's still people who defend him and throw out stats that 'prove' he's better than many well regarded backs on other teams. The problem with stats is if you're not looking at them in enough detail, they could lead you to incorrect conclusions.

I think BB likes Maroney because he is hard working and disciplined, but unfortunately his instincts just aren't that good, and instincts apparently can't be learned. Fred Taylor seems to instinctively know where to turn and how to move. Maroney turns and moves into dead ends too often.

We have 5 running backs, Maroney is hurt & didn't dress. What's the big deal? Edelman is hurt & didn't dress. Is anybody questioning his status? C'mon. If there was a problem he would have been gone last week.

Great anticipation on how lanes will open.

Exactly, Maroney should only be used when the team is up by 20 or down by 20. He is the expendable character from Star Trek, do not use him in meaningful situations, ever.

Hopefully just a little banged up still. I want Maroney to get the bulk of the carries in the regular season so Taylor is fresh for the playoffs (if he can be healthy at the right time again). Not sure I want Taylor carrying it 14 times a game until then though I'm not sure just how much his body can take right now, maybe he can. But come playoff time in the most crucial situations I want the rock in Taylor's hands he's still the best runner we have IMO.

Maroney isn't a bad player he has just never reached potential. Or, then again, maybe this IS his potential. Too many injuries, other issues, but when he plays he normally plays well. I, generally, like him well enough, but he has been somewhat of a disappointment. I hope we draft a solid back next year, but for now the vets, and the fountain of youth Kevin Faulk will hold it down.

I think Taylor's style in rushing is kinda similar to Faulk. Taylor isn't a super powerful player that will run through you but a quick guy with good field vision. Maroney is strong and has/had good speed. I actually think Maroney has similar physical skills to Adrian Peterson (Minus the explosivness) but he just doesn't have any instinct or good feild vision. Maroney is still a young back and he should only continue to improve that aspect of his game. He just can't stay healthy.
