Gotta say that the new crew is making for a good listen. Fauria and Bingo matched up with Dale and Chris Price. Not sure what happened to Holley... It's great to hear genuine insight from guys who played the game on and in this Patriots era.

I agree. Great show. I like it more than the one on 98.5. I wish Dale would come in off the ledge just a little, though.

Listening to it, too. Troy Brown is great. Loved hearing the talk about the huddle against the Rams. Maybe because he's my favorite Pats player and he can do no wrong in my book. Not interested in anything Dale Flanders says, though.

Missed it. What'd Troy say?

They been talkin a lot about demeanor and Brady, how while he always has on some level, now he has to get after guys more and make them want to be accountable because as he's getting older many of them are getting younger and the breath of leadership isn't there that was in earlier days. How it has to come from players and not coaches and in the end the QB is the leader of the team. And talking a lot about comparmentalization, and Fauria was pointing out that in order for a team or player to succeed they all have to be capable of compartmentalizing or guys who can't will screw it up and impact everyone. But Troy was underscoring how Brady was special in his ability to do that not only personally but for the team as a whole, which is again something kind of unique to the positon. So he recalled how in NO when everyone expected us to take a knee and the decision was made to go for it, the kid huddled them up and then calmly relayed the play selection and matter of factly said now lets go make the plays and get it done...and they all realized they could, because yeah, that's what it really came down to...just do your job like BB always says.

Interesting comments by Troy that some fans here wouldn't like. Dale looking to mock Pete as he opens as Seattle's HC...Troy says Pete was a real good football coach but he was in the wrong place at the wrong time in part because of the FO situation, but that said he thinks he will have his work cut out getting some of those players in Seattle to step up and make plays...

Thinks in KC Cassel was in a no win last year as the OC (who by his own choice was the HC) had no play calls in many situations and that won't happen with Charlie who is always prepared and he expects to see Matt rebound and play like he did here.

Fauria really thinks that pundits will find that Sanchise and the JETS offense has miles to go. Troy isn't convinced how much LdT has left... Troy was funny earlier, saying he at first picked the JETS to win the division but like his old coach Tuna he conveniently reserved the right to change his mind and based on what he's observed (all the bs self absorbed stuff including behavior and attitude trends he observed on hard knocks) over the last couple of months...and he has. He thinks the Pats will take the division.

Yeah, me too.
Got any links, guys?
WEEI | Homepage for true Boston sports fans

In the upper right hand corner there are two red buttons; one to listen live and one for audio on demand. If you click on the 'on demand' button you can then scroll down to the Patriots' section, which includes some audio from earlier today.

Here's a better link, direct to that on demand section: Patriots Monday and Friday featured video and audio brought to you by WEEI Boston's Sports Radio

In the preseason games I have seen of KC, Weiss is already calling plays that play to Cassel's strengths. They open up the field asap and give Cassel room to scramble and frequently have hot reads on both sides of the field, or the RB lateral or slant to hook.

Does EEI still have a postgame show? It's still ESPN Radio right now.
