NBC Sports, Rotoworld : "Maroney not certain to make the 45 man active roster Sunday even if fully healthy"

Laurence Maroney

Are these sources as reliable as those that told us he was on the chopping block? :bricks:

Ho Hum.....

Another regular season game...another irrelevent Maroney regardless of playing or not...nothing new here, lets hear something we don't know

Well, don't rain on his parade; this probably made Crowell's day.

Anyway, the source for this information is Ian Rapoport's Twitter, despite the fact that, from what I can see, Ian hasn't posted anything to that effect.

what ? no references to "glass" yet ? :)

but seriously i dont think he is fit so he wont be there i would assume.

I would think in this game Brady will be throwing 3 to 1 in terms of pass to run so I would not expect any running back to do much of anything anyway...Fred Taylor will probably lead the team with 30 yards in this game.

I think Belichick will be going to his TEs A LOT in this game and could be a test to see if they take thier game a step up from preseason and also expect Tate to become a prominent target if the Bengals solid secondary takes away Moss and Welker...Brady could throw 40 times in this game.

The source is actually John Clayton of ESPN.

I can't believe you actually drafted him. Maroney isn't even close to being relevant.

It's actually not that bad, the larger the league size the more relevant he becomes. If you ever try a 16man league (I'm in one this year) you'd be surprised how thin it can get, very quickly.

If true he is the source Maroney could be playing and rack up 100 yards and a couple of TDs tomorrow

I'm not buying it. I think he plays.

How many in here really believe that Maroney playing or not in tomorrow's game will make a difference in the outcome?

Tom's airing it 40 times sunday anyway,Here is to hoping he is not mauled by Odom which I am worrying about- Odom is a hard hitter and Matt Light struggles with edge type rushers

There seems to be nothing more to this than regurgitating the speculation based on misunderstanding preseason playing time.

Yeah, I agree. I think they are basing this off him not really playing in preseason. I really would love to see Maroney with the start tomorrow because I want him to finally have a good year.

Starting is irrelevant but I expect that we will see tomorrow that the plan is what the plan has always been, Maroney and Taylor will alternate at RB.
