A couple things I posted about Ugoh back in 2007:

I'll become a Colts fan if Ugoh turns out to be the best LT in years.

Ugoh was horrible during the all-star games, universally panned by everyone.

Ugoh was considered a top OL prospect, until people got a close look at him this spring. He was panned by everyone for his play and skill level. There's a reason this former top 10 pick dropped so far down.

I thought Ugoh was a mistake back when they picked him. He looked awful in the all-star games, and he used to fall asleep a lot in his college games. His measurables were always great, a good athlete.

He's going to tease you guys for a long time. He'll be your Adrian Klemm.

They may have missed on Ugoh, but they got lucky and hit on Charlie Johnson in the 6th round of 2006.

Manning gets rid of the damn ball so fast that he doesn't need great protection in most games anyway.

I used the word "Luck" without seeing that they drafted Bethea in the same round that year, Clint Session in the 4th the next year and Garcon in the 6th in 2008. Thats pretty damn good

I remember hearing last season Ugoh was in the doghouse for being lazy! Seems to have caught him up!
Are you sure it wasn't the Dog Faker doghouse?

Any bad news for the Colts is good news for... though if I remember correctly, he was praised his rookie season

Give Polian a break. Ugoh only cost them the 29th pick in the 2008 draft. They probably would have used that pick to take someone like Tracy Porter anyway. Not like that would have had a significant impact on Colts' history.

I remember when BB was talking about Ugoh, in Ugoh's second year I believe, and all he could do was describe him as very athletic. It pretty much summed up the extent to which he didn't think Ugoh could play football.

It also is interesting to note that even the infallible Colts :)rolleyes:) make mistakes in the draft.

Awesome :youtheman:

I posted this on the other thread, but it is worth posting here:

For all the hype Polian gets for drafting and people have trashed Belichick for his recent drafts, Polian has wiffed on a lot of first round picks in recent years. Joseph Addai started out like a stud and turned into a dud. Anthony Gonzalez is falling down the depth chart. Tony OhOh is a bust. Donald Brown is not even a great change of pace back. The Colts' 2007 and 2008 drafts are less than spectacular. Their 2009 draft doesn't look to be shaping up to much better

recent Colts 2nd round busts:
Mike Pollack
Tony Ugoh
Tim Jennings
Mike Doss
then also Harstock, Pittock, others in round 3
