Anyone listen to Damon Amendolara this evening? He had nothing to talk about so he tried somehow to gin up a bad rap on Randy Moss. He tried and tried but it did not work and luckily some callers kicked his butt a little but it appears that he is an idiot like the rest.

Are there any non-douches in the media? Barstool seems pretty good but that seems about it. Gresh and Zo maybe.

i don't mind Zo, but Gresh is big fat windbag.

No Gresh and Zo are complete idiot morons who babble on with no direction and no idea what they are talking about. I have completely stopped listening to local sports radio. The only talk programing I can take anymore is the Hillman show.. and as soon as they let Spaz talk I stop listening to it.

Welcome to modern day talk radio. they are all contrarians. they can not keep up with the quick pace of the internet. So they say stuff that will get people to call. its just a shtick that all sports radio guys use now

DA has turned into a mini Felger. Honestly sports radio sucks now Sports hub isnt any different than WEEI

Ratings week must be approaching. Today WEEI debuted a new guest regular...I think it would be priceless if they have him in on Mondays with Bill. Ordway kept him in check today because he understands the mentality, the bully who wilts if someone gets in his face. Welcome back, Ron...

If that is the case then that is unfortunate because DA has been a breath of fresh air since his show started. I'd give him the benefit of the doubt and wait and see how is going forward. We'll never know, but I'd also be curious if that decision was his, or came from further up the chain of command.

Other than speculation about Brady's contract, the biggest news with the Pats right now centers on Moss' comment and whether or not that means anything for this upcoming season. The Celtics and Bruins are hibernating, the Red Sox are in a coma on life support waiting for somebody to pull the plug, and until we get a little closer to gameday there's not a whole lot to talk about regarding the Pats.

Once we get past the first game of the season there is more of a rhythm to the week, where fans focus on the previous games for a couple of days and then shift focus to the upcoming game. Until then there's a little bit of a dead zone to talk about, whether it's on the radio or on a message board. I'd give him a pass for now.

Yeah i caught that, Bogus tried going into his Belichick is a lier routine and Orday to his credit wouldn't let him.

DA changed direction abit after the Wheatley interview, Wheatley said the same thing as Brady, that Moss is one of the hardest workers and a leader and they all love playing with him. Theres no story here other than MEDIA MAKES MOUNTAIN OUT OF MOLEHILL

Every time I put on the radio and DA is on he seems to be in the midst of some interminable rant. He just drive and drives his argument. I feel like a jack hammer has been set in slow motion and is digging into my brain.

If you guys would just shut the people on the radio that you disagree with, or even hate, off then they will either change their tune or be out of a job. The fact that you keep talking about them keeps them employed. Put down the newspapers too. Stop clicking on publication websites that peddle guys like Florio. Really, this isn't that hard.

Still think DA is the best guy on the local radio even if it isn't setting the bar very high. He seems to be one of the few who doesn't get bogged down in the same cliches that most of the local guys are in.

Dennis and Callahan each take a side of an argument and argue it into stupidity even when everyone knows that at least one of them totally doesn't believe what they are arguing. Felger is on his anti-Moss, there is no salary cap, the Pats treat their players like crap rants. Ordway still allows moronic Patriots/Sox haters onto the show just to ridicule them. Dale Arnold still takes the milktoast non-contrversial view on anything. Gresh is Gresh (enough said). Toucher and Rich still do fratboy radio. DA is the only one I can stand these days.

More like media builds molehill, and tries to pass it off as mountain :p

I can't say that I'm surprised. What else would you expect out of a New Yorker?

This is why only New Englanders who are New England fans should be hired. Not only do outsiders have no loyalty to us, our teams or our region, but they secretly (or in some cases not-so-secretly) despise us. No more effin New Yorkers!

I'll say this much: I like Zolak when he's on the sidelines. During the pre-season games he had some interesting insights into what it is like on the team, what players go through, etc. Also had some good commentary on the different plays, why guys lined up in certain spots, etc. In other words, he was doing a good job and using his experience to explain to the fans watching what they were REALLY seeing.

However, when he's on the radio or on TV he tends to run with the pack and I find that to be disingenuous and actually rather intellectually lazy of him. He has the potential to be so much more than he is, but seems not to push the envelope. It might well explain why he stayed a back-up for so long.

I haven't listened to as much sports radio lately. Is Michael Holly still good these days? He has some inside contacts and can present a clear thought without it ending up a mindless rant.

This board is our only hope.

No, there is another.

Holley, IMO, was excellent for more than a few years. Recently, I have detected a shift to more of the "I'll take a fabricated position on a subject to generate discussion" approach from him, along with a clear increase in yelling, causing one's ears to bleed at times. I still consider him a really bright guy who is usually fair, but the recent shift has been unmistakeable.

I tuned into the Big Show today and couldn't believe Bogus was on. I listened for a bit and couldn't take it anymore. To his credit Big O was shutting down Bogus left and right but the hatred that Bogus has for the pats and BB doesn't let him begin to think strait.

Agreed. I still like Holley, but you can tell he's going over to the dark side.
