Interesting, but dumb... cannot believe just spent about 4 minutes reading that crap...

Eh, a space filler while we wait a few more days for football.

Only one I really facepalmed though was "Star who will have a subpar season", where one guy listed Mark Sanchez...

He may have a subpar season, but since when did he become a "star"? :p

Wow, Every single person picked Aaron Rodgers to win the MVP, I mean everyone.

Do they know he plays in cold weather, and since these media idiots do not take into account dome and good weather Qbs advantage over vs bad weather, how can he win.

well..you have to remember that these media people are the ones who vote for the mvp...so...

Is your life that important? constricted? Man, lighten up. If you can't put this, and the thousand other polls, that don't have the Pats in a favorable position in perspective, I feel sorry for you

As soon as I read Dirty Sanchez under 'STARS who will have a subpar season', I knew to stop reading :)

The best part is where the appropriately named Damon Hack identifies Mark Sanchez as his pick for the "Star Who Has a Subpar Season."

Only can a jet player who suffers through a brutal rookie season be labeled a "star." Does this mean that Hack thinks that Sanchez will be even worse than his 12 TD/20 int/ 63.0 QB rating rookie disaster? Now that would be fun!

I can't believe 3 of them picked the Jests to be in the AFC championship and one of themeven losing to the cowboys in the SB and 2 of them picked the pats to miss the play off oh well guess morons will aways find jobs in sports writing

Tim Layden sure seems to hate the Pats, eh?

I agree that there are as many homers as there are pessimists in this forum which makes for some bad situations and confrontations in here sometimes.

I take back saying the Jets are the most overrated team in the NFL, it is without a doubt the Packers. Picked to be in the Super Bowl by..

ESPN.com 18/28 analysts
NFL.com 7/7 analysts
Sports Illustrated 7/10 analysts

I've realized just about no one has the Jets even making the Super Bowl.

Example of a hack douchebag ... or is it a douchebag who doubles as a hack?

Layden
This is a dynasty on the downside. Belichick's defense is mediocre at best. As good as Wes Welker has looked in the preseason, he's still only eight months out from knee reconstruction and now Randy Moss says he's unhappy. Plus the Jets and Dolphins might both be better. troupe to overcome.

Might be better ... might be

how about this layden:

... I'm just to lazy to analyze and even if i did I would not know what i am looking at anyways.

I think you're right. No team should ever deserve to be picked to win the superbowl by more than half of the "experts" unless maybe if you're already the reigning champion. I'm excited to see how far the Packers can go this season, and when I'm wearing my homer-hat I'll say "of course all the experts are right on, they're going to win it all this year", but in reality, they haven't proven ANYTHING yet. I just hope this team is more mature than they were last year, and can handle the hype.

BTW, I think most of the Packer hype can be traced to the 3rd preseason game against the Colts where they put up 59 points, mostly with starting units on the field. There were several of the national media guys on the Packers bandwagon before playing the Colts, but after that game, it really took off.

If the Pats don't win the SB, I would love to see the Packers win it just to see Bret Favre's face :)

Then maybe he will retire!

Who is this Layden character? His "fading" Pats and "noisy" Jets remarks, and talk about Jason Taylor make it pretty clear he his a dreaming Dolphins fan. Every comment he made was anti-Jets and Pats, and then he predicts JAKE LONG to become a superstar??

Awful.
