That would be too much like right tho. Tom brady being a mature leader and role model isnt news for bspn I guess.

Truth be told, the imminent resolution of Tom Brady contract issue is the least of the Patriots worries this week. Fortunately, no one knows that better than Brady, who is the rare exception among professional athletes - a guy who can compartmentalize his life.
That does not mean, as some have implied, that Brady is sitting back childlike, blindly tossing footballs around while the adults decide his financial and football future. What it does mean is he is someone uniquely capable of concentrating on the moment, which is to say the Bengals, while keeping tabs on his business interests.
In other words, he’s an adult, too, which is not the case with many professional athletes in such a circumstance. If there was a bit more of that going around inside the Patriots’ organization these days things might be going a bit smoother, but all athletes are not Tom Brady, just as few quarterbacks are.
In the end Brady will be paid a lot of money but probably not what he’s worth because at this stage of his career he remains the most valuable asset in the Kraft family’s football factory. He will be paid enough, however, to satisfy himself, his family and a players’ union that is surely closely watching how this goes down.
In Indianapolis, Peyton Manning is surely waiting to see Brady’s numbers and in New Orleans Drew Brees is doing the same because what they will ultimately be paid by their owners will be impacted by what Brady settles for. He is aware of this but will not let it dictate what he feels is fair and equitable.
Brady will be ready for both [contract and season] when their time comes for the most obvious of reasons, because he’s a man, as well as The Man.

Last night on Sports Tonight,Felger was going off on Randy saying he does not want him back next season and this whining Randy is doing right now needs to be IGNORED and not addressed,he is a media monger according to Felger,he says the team needs him but they don't need the BS
He went on to say if Randy does not get his way on ALL accounts he will not show up for games this year and will revert back to the Oakland days
I agree with those comments to some degree,a Randy who is a whiner may not put forth the efforts we all expect from him in a contract year, hopefully not like a disinterested AD last season
It hasn't shown in training camp.
By all accounts that I've read, he's been team oriented, helping rookies and not just receivers but defensive backs as well.

Do you or anyone remember how Adalius looked in camp last season?...Not to try and compare the two players but just saying if anyone here remembers how was Adalius was looking in camp in 09?
I respect Brady for how he has always handled things.
But, someone said they don't blame him for wanting to protect his financial future.
I dont see how someone who has millions in the bank, still has millions rolling in via endorsements, and other non footbal, etc. related things, will probably have more millions rolling in after they retire from football, etc.... can be worried about his financial future
(This is not aimed at Brady only. It is for ALL professional athletes that have signed and already been paid huge amounts in addition to their off field incomes.)
