Pats were at 53 (sans Ojikama) then cut McKenzie who was apparently cut to make room for Maneri. But Rappaport's recent article says Maneri is on the PS squad. Someone clarify.

I meant
Ojinakka (damn iPhone)
Anyways i know mckenzie is on the ps squad but he was released for Maneri apparently but Now it's reported maneri is on the ps squad leaving only 52 players.

Drives me crazy reading posts about the 53rd roster spot.

I like this question better ... how many different faces will occupy the 53rd spot.

They cut McKenzie when Tracy White was acquired

I didn't know you guys got Tracy White. He spent a couple years with the Packers, and I can tell you the guy is a special teams ace on punt/kick coverage. You'll see him in on pretty much every tackle. He even caused a couple fumbles. You'll like him.

If we have 52 then maybe Mankins is not listed as exempt.

Anyway to find out, sans wiretapping?

Also, is Jarrad Page clear to play game 1 or is/was he in Mankins boat?

Any chance he can cover TEs?

OL Maneri was claimed on waiver from the Texans so he is on the 53. I imagine he'll take over Connolly's old spot on special teams. He's athletic and strong.

I think you mean Ojinnaka??

Pats are at 52 now, but will be at 53 after week one when Ojinnaka returns.

I doubt that...ONLY because they have only 45 game slots open...Most likely he will be inative..VERY hard to keep an extra OL player given the roster make up.

Don't we get an Exemption for Ojinnaka, though?

There are 53 on the Roster including Maneri...Ojinnaka is suspended this game so he is the 54th player...AFTER this week his suspension is up so they will need to make a move. They have 8 on the PSquad as well...so that is full up.

Ummmmm.... No. Tracy White is the type of linebacker that can be very physical and is a hard hitter and a sure tackler, but won't be worth much in coverage. If he makes it into the game regularly on defense, I would be worried if I were you, but otherwise he's pretty much exclusively a special teams guy. But he's a very very good special teams guy, which is really what you want out of your 53rd roster spot, right?

Maneri was the "53rd"......but WHoye will play and he will be good on STs....Page..who they traded for MAY be the one covering TEs...
