I've seen a lot of negative whining over the last couple of days. Heres the Truth, there are 31 other teams with GMS, coaches, and players (some very very good) that are being payed miliions of dollars. The only goal of those gms coaches and players is to win the SB under penalty of losing their jobs. No one can win the SB every year, especially the way the league is set up. Most SBs have been one by a small number of teams, i'll go out on a limb and say that only half of all teams have won a SB in their history. Between Kraft and Belichick the pats have gone to Five SB's and have won three, not bad. For those that think that this is a mediocre combination go follow another team like the Colts, Steelers, Cowboys, or Chargers for example, they're all winning teams but they haven't been as successfull as the Pats. They make just as many mistakes if not more than BB otherwise they'd have a better record over the last Fifteen years.

Like Parcells said "You are what you're record says you are"

This will end well. :bricks:

There are way too many people close to the edge, it is a game first of all and we have a very good team.. BB has fielded a team with a winning record 9 years in a row, that is the longest streak.

People need to stop listening to Ted Sarandis, Felger or reading Borges and think for themselves...

People get all hung up with the pass rush, but that is one part of the game and one aspect of the team's play.... some fans believe that the pass rush is the exclusive domain of the OLB's, BB is running the D and expect a lot of wrinkles... stay tuned it is going to be fun.

People get all hung up with draft choices, but their evidence is anecdotal and have never seen a longitudinal study of who does best.. until then it is just tunnel vision.

Ya think? People seem to forget that there are 31 other teams trying to win the SB. If you use the criteria of winning to base the success of a team and its managment then BB and the Pats are the best. Sure he makes mistakes but he and the Patriots made Less mistakes than any other franchise

I believe most fans hope for the best, but are realistic going into the season with the questions the pats have.

What are the pats questioning???

The over-the-top homers are no better than the over-the-top Chicken Littles when it comes to failure to think.

That's actually a true statement. We don't know about Crable. We haven't seen him, because he's been on the shelf since his rookie season. While I don't like his physical makeup for a 4-3 OLB in the Patriots system, BB has clearly seen at least something with him that he feels makes it worthwhile to give the guy one more chance. It's unlikely at this point that he'll blossom in to anything monstrously good, but being oft-injured early in a career is not a death blow, although it's pretty close. There was actually a thread in which this was discussed, but I don't remember its title.

I agree somewhat, i would rather read something positive than negative. There seems to be a group of posters that feel that we are suppose to win the SB Every year, that BB is incompetent, r that BB should never make a mistake. I see much more of these posters than i do over the top homers.

I don't see that to be the case, especially on this forum. You have to admit that pass rush, from whatever position have been a problem for this team for a few seasons now.

Prediction: Crable will lead the NFL in sacks this year, despite only playing one quarter in week 12.

Do not disagree, but have to have some trust in BB.. in the world of the NFL he is considered a defensive genius.. he was the architect of the NY Giants very good teams of the 90's... and has overall done a very good job here. Many coaches emulate his formula for success..

Any team plays to their strengths, and for this team it is #12... if we had the likes of an LT things would be much different.... it is what it is.

Absolutely without question. I think the point though was that improvement can come from a lot of areas, including up the middle and change in scheme/playcalling. When people talk about the lack of pass rush as a given, they usually cite the lack of additions to the DE and OLB, which are important but in no way they only place QB pressure comes from.

The only way you see those posters more is if you have AndyJohnson, Eagle Eye, MoLewisRocks and several other over-the-top homers on ignore. That group is ubiquitous with its unthinking backing of all things and moves Patriots.

They are also known as Red Sox fans that call WEEI, mostly the Big Show.
