Guess Woods is staying.

That's why the rumors switched so quick on him being cut.

This could be a big sign of the return of Jarvis...I am not so crazy about that but Burgess is a washed up bum for sure, don't know how it relates to OLB though.

Thank God, interesting to see who starts and makes the roster in his place, I def think at least 1-2 roster moves are coming. Jarvis Greene being one

Re: Wooooooooah

Are you really surprised? The guy has shown NOTHING since he came back. I was hoping that they would let him go. Not worth a roster spot, IMO. I'd rather see a younger guy who will give us better effort get the spot.

I don't care what he does in the off-season - it's in the proper games that matter, and he showed plenty down the stretch last year.

I hope this means Cunningham is ready to go.

TBC, Cunningham and Nink as the OLB rushers.

Well as someone is sure to say, what a waste of draft picks, but there were times toward the end of last season when he looked pretty darned not bad.

He is. Read thread with link to story.

100% agree with this move. Burgess is done, done done. I'm a big Ninkovich supporter, and see him starting over woods. Not holding out hope for an impact from Cunningham this season, but would be pleasantly surprised if it has one.

Good move I think BB wanted to see what he had left in the tank and it wasn't enough to cut it.
Plus he seemed almost lackadaisical in his pursuit of the ball carrier this preseason.
He had thoughts of retiring he should retire a eagle where he had the most success and go out with dignity.

Agreed. Nink deserves an opportunity.

I have to believe this means they are adding someone...maybe more like hoping...

Wow Im a little surprised not because burgess was a world beater but because of what we have behind him.

I guess marques murrell makes the roster because i have no confidence in cunningham at this point.

He was lousy last year and he's been lousy this exhibition season.

Guyton in for a position switch? Making Banta-Cain and Guyton the starting OLBs? Spikes and Mayo the ILB with MacKenzie/Guyton providing depth?

Murrell, Cunningham and Nink the OLB depth?

Does Burgess come back a week from Tuesday with a non-guaranteed salary? A trade about to come down making him expendable?

I'd like to see Ninkovich get a chance to start, he kinda sorta reminds me of Vrabel.
