Exhibitions are over and all cases are made, so I thought a place for final predictions would be appropriate. I figure that QB and TE are pretty clear, but maybe you've got a surprise in mind. Then there are the pure special teamers. Fire away!

As long as slater is healthy i think he makes the team.

Has he even played this year. I think he is gone, baby, gone. Aiken has his spot on special teams coverage and Tate and Price have his job as a returner.

I know I am going out on a limb here...but I think Tom Brady will make the team.

Sergio Brown played well last night on ST's, not sure how many ST slots are open though.

 Slater is as good as gone. He brings virtually nothing to the table as a returner, slightly more as a gunner, and doesn't actually have a natural position that he excels at. I would be absolutely shocked if he made the 53. On special teams, Arrington, Aiken, and even Sergio Brown will probably beat him out.

Rob Myers is a pretty interesting TE prospect. I hope he make the PS, but I think he might get nabbed.

Slater is actually under-rated by you as a returner. And I think that the Pats were very slow in developing a scheme to incorporate the change in the kick-off return blocking.

Slater is an excellent gunner, plays on all 6 of the special teams units (Aiken only plays on 3.. wait 2 now since he's not on the punt coverage as the personal protector).

That being said, Slater hasn't taken a pre-season snap. So, he could be headed to the IR. He can't be cut unless he get's an injury settlement since he has been injured.

Carson Butler showed a ton as a receiver, but was horrible as a blocker.

Nice to see you back, DaBruinz. :D

I don't I underrate Slater as a returner at all. I thought he was just better than horrible. He showed absolutely no shiftyness whatsoever. Because of this, he also had a propensity to get blown up by huge, highlight reel hit. It's really a wonder how he didn't fumble any of those balls. Speaking of fumbles, the one in Pittsburgh a couple of years ago, when he actually was trusted with returner duties, was pretty costly.

As a gunner, maybe I did undersell him there. While I wouldn't call him "excellent", he was decent in that role.

IIRC Myers is not eligible for the PS.

IIRC Myers is not eligible for the PS.

2009 was his first season in the league, and he was never on a 53-man roster, so he is eligible.

Myers has shown some flashes as a TE, so I hope he can be put on the practice squad and continue to develop.

Sergio Brown has also show some talent, big hits and an intensity for the game. I don't see him making the 53, but I wouldn't be surprised if he unseats someone like Slater.

I like the way Ninkovich has been playing, and I hope to see more of him in there. Burgess isn't doing much for me these days.

I'd say Aiken and Arrington are definitely in, and Woods is highly probable as is BJGE. I'm guessing Slater does not make the roster with one spot going to either Alexander or Brown. I'm going to go with Alexander making the roster and Brown headed temporarily to the practice squad; he'll be back on the team later this fall.

I can't believe he is still on the team! It might be that I am judging him unfairly because my first impression of him was based on the fumble you mentioned (which was actually at home, BTW):

Still, I haven't seen anything remarkable enough since then to "overturn" that impression.
