Final Roster Predictions - WR

Aikens makes it as the 5th WR ... it comes down tp Price or Jenkins. Price has disappointed me. I thought he was a better WR than he is. He is not playing in college anymore and not getting two feet down (on two separate plays last night) is a lack of effort. I would keep Jenkins and try and pass Price through waivers or trade him.

I really haven't seen anything from Price that merits giving him a slot. I know that he is still learning, but I think we have enough developmental guys on the roster already, no?

Price isn't going anywhere.

I want Jenkins on this team whether it's on the PS or the 53. The Pats don't have a speed burner WR like him.

Surely you're not serious with this?

Huh? Tate can burn. Moss can still stretch the D.

Unless Chrissy Gasper has is way and Moss gets run out of town.

? Welker-Edelman is juke juke move move.
Moss is 33 his speed burning days are gone.
Aiken sucks.
Tate seems fast, but not this fast.
Price looks like he'll be our David Givens.

Jenkins, reminds me of Bam Childress, looks great in preseason but is not a true NFL receiver

Moss is still one of the premiere deep threats in the league. Tate is one of the fastest WR's in the AFC East and is a Donte Stallworth type deep threat. He certainly has "burner" speed.

There are several teams who have had WRs go down. The biggest one is the Rams. They lost Avery and supposedly lost another in practice this week. The Seahawks are shopping Houshmandzedah, so they may be in the market to add a WR at the bottom of their Roster.

Both Jenkins and Farnham play special teams and are return men. I also think that Farnham could line up at other positions on the return unit..

It was mentioned that Aiken was NOT lining up as the punter Personnel protector. To me, that signals that he's on the bubble and could lose his spot.

The key word was I WANT. It won't happen because Price has to make the 53 or he would be scooped up. He hasn't shown much, but he is just a rookie and I hope he develops into a good 2nd option. Jenkins has shown more to me this preseason.

His route running is extremely suspect. I'm not sure why you think that he would stick here. Sure he's fast as hell. But that's not going to matter if he's not on the same page as Brady and the rest of the offense.

LOL at the people who think Price isn't making the team.

Isn't WR one of the most difficult positions (in terms of time required) for players to adjust to the NFL? And doesn't Price herald from an, oh I don't know, somewhat substandard NCAA system?

Moss
Welker
Edelman - hope his injury isn't serious
Tate
Price - though he has been extremely disappointing
Aiken - he, Alexander & Woods have pics of Bill with farm animals
Farnham waived
Jenkins waived, then poss. to PS
Owens waived, then poss. to PS if Jenkins is claimed

Ya think? He ran those 97 yards in 12 seconds (while dodging tackles).

It certainly didn't take the Chicken Littles to cave in on Price, did it? Again, anybody that DIDN'T think that Price was going to be a word in progress should look at themselves in the mirror. The kid came from a sub-standard run first offensive system on a bad team with no quarterback. He's now coming to a team with one of the most complicated offensive systems to learn in the NFL. This team also happens to be a pass-first offense. He's got a lot to learn and the chances that he was just going to "get it" right out of the gates were slim to none.

That is certainly the safe prediction, but BB will keep the best football players and Jenkins leads the team in receiving yards and 24 ypc. I would not be surprised if he makes it, even if it means keeping 6 WRs. I haven't seen many OLs recently that I positively had to keep....

Once Holt went on IR, the roster at WR was pretty much set with Moss, Welker, Edelman, Tate, Price and Aiken.
