I haven't heard a thing one way or another all week. In fact i haven't heard much about him at all.

He still hasn't been on the practice field, so I doubt he will be playing.

Is it the dreaded high-ankle sprain that is holding him back?

He's made of glass, Crable II (someone had to say it).

I'm pretty sure a better question to ask is if Cunningham is still alive.

That is what is being reported. He has not dressed for practice in a while.

Who's Cunningham?

I just hope he doesn't get an out the blue IR...
Which for young guys are sometimes red shirts.

All the reports about him from TC were positive.
He was able to set the edge, decent pass rush.
He wasn't out of place a la Crable.

I just really hope he comes back.

Really? Are you kidding me? No one had to say that.

Did he have an injury history in college? Not that I know of.

One freaking injury and that's the comparison you make. We really don't know the extent of the injury. We didn't know about Bodden's shoulder injury so I guess we should call him fragile too. Welker suffered one injury, I guess he's fragile too.

I hope you were being sarcastic and I'm an idiot and just missed it.

I really think this idea is overstated. On IR you can't practice with the team. How do you expect a young player to get better if they can't practice?

It is not in the best interest of the Patriots to shelf a rookie if they're not really injured.

I can't even remember what his first name was. Shawn?

To think this was one off BB's ways of addressing the OLB position...

I'm not saying that is the case with Cunningham just to be clear.
Just hoping it is not.

Why are college players red shirted?
To learn, and grow mentally and physically.

Why would a healthy rookie be IRed without being hurt?
The same reasons as above.

Sure they can't practice but they can develop mentally, physically (work out) and are still able to attend team meetings.

There's really no replacing reps when it comes to learning. Can't red shirted college players still practice? I could be wrong on that, so please correct me if I am.

Red shirted players can practice.. IR and a red shirt season are two totally different things. A guy like Cunningham isn't going to transform his body like a highschool athlete is his redshirt year. A season on IR = major disappointment.

Who's Cunningham?

I believe he may be referring to Randall Cunningham. But he's 47 years old and hasn't QB'd in many years I'm not sure why he would play??

He's Jeremy Mincey 2.0, just picked a couple rounds higher. Until he proves otherwise he's a bust.

So basically, he's Ron Brace 2.0. :bricks:

Cunningham's injured. Before he went out, TC reports were mostly positive about the guy when it came to rush the passer, being a presence against the run, and holding his own in coverage. Hopefully he shows the same when he's healthy.

If I were a mod, I will give you a 4 months holiday from here. What an irresponsible comment.
