Been there, done that.

Or perhaps you were suggesting that we need a team captain for week 2? ;)

yeah..we can pick his brain about that mighty green machine offense..oh...wait.......

Do we really need to pay O'Connell to tell us that Sanchez sucks? Actually, poor Kevin really plummeted in the last year. To think that he was at one point a team captain ... :singing:

Actually, if our defense doesn't get their sh*t together soon, even the crappy Jet's offense will tear us apart.

When a team that sucks doesn't want you, you must REALLY suck :)

Good to see optimism on the board :)

Comments like this, make us Pat's fans look like idiots. Look, I hate the Jets also, but let's not be stupid here, they were 30 minutes away from going to the Super Bowl. AND, they've improved themselves in the offseason. It's like any fan that chants "Saints Suck", umm, come on, they won the SB. I've seen fans chant that when their team is playing the champions, and imo, it's so dumb.

(A) They were a gift game from the Colts away from sitting on their a**es and watching the playoffs on TV.
(B) They may have improved in some areas, but they certainly didn't improve in all of them, and almost certainly took a step back on some of them. (Gee, does that sound familiar?)

There is no evidence that the current Jets team is better than last year's Jets team.

Even if that's so, they are not a 4-12 type team (a team that sucks). I'd be shocked if they win less than 8 games, though I hope they win 0, lol.

A) True, but look what they did with that gift, they had the lead in the AFC Championship game at halftime.

B) On paper, losing Thomas Jones for Ladanian Tomlinson looks like a step back, but LT has had unfortunately really good in camp/preseason games, and is a perfect mentor for Shonn Greene. I think Revis signs before game 1, but the loss of Pace will hurt their D, which is good for us. Hopefully Revis signs before game 3 instead, lol.

I buy that they don't suck

But LT a good mentor? He is despised by his old teammates as a selfish player.

In the environment he's in, yes, I believe he will be a good mentor, for several reasons.

1) He KNOWS he is the backup, so he'll get his carries, 2) but won't be overused, which will prolong his career, which means more records and more money (if that's his motivation). Also, he believes this might be his chance at a championship, though he should have signed with the Pats if he wants to win ;-)

To me KOC represents the worst draft pick by the Pats during the Belichick era. I know other people will point out other players, but I will never understand the reasoning for selecting him, or any QB with a third round pick at that point in time. There may be other players such as Shawn Crable that didn't work out, but at least his selection made a lot of sense based on what was known about him and the team needs at the time. The KOC draft pick made no sense then and obviously none now.

We all know how a .500 team that got to 9-7 and played two historic playoff chokers got to the AFCC. This JETS team isn't even that team anymore. They lost two of their veteran core leaders. They picked up some name players who are either on the back nine or suspended for the first quarter of the season. They lost players on the OL and DL that they have been unable to remotely replace and it's shown. Their first round RB has looked like puking crap since mini camp. Their replacement OG has been passed on the depth chart by a 6th round sophomore. Orlando Pace will be replaced by some combination of 36 year old Jason Taylor and/or AD...for the first month of the season at least. They replaced their #2 CB with a talented but underperforming problem child and in Revis absence he's their #1 and their #2 is either a rookie or Lowrey whom the coaches have been critical of all pre season. Their sophomore QB is a crap shoot. His backup is a dinasaur. Braylon still has hands of stone. They have no depth across the board.

Really, let's NOT be stupid here... LaDanian may have his moments early on, but then he always did and it didn't translate on an even more talented and balanced team. His former team and teamates aren't lamenting his loss for good reason. When the going gets tough, he slams down that visor...

My only suggestion: move from NY because you have obviously been brainwashed by the propaganda and the Jest fanbase screaming from their rooftops (ny version of social media).

Hard to disagree with this. Crable's problems seemed to come from being either incredibly injury prone (hard to predict) or just lacking the toughness/ethic to do what he had to do in the offseason (again, hard to predict). To choose a QB in the 3rd round, one would assume the Pats saw something really good in him since that wasn't an area of need. It was a big swing and miss.

I think the comment can be attributed more to the Jets QB situation / offense in general. No one is going to claim they don't have a good defense (though absent Pace and Revis, they're definitely not as good as last year), but after Sanchez, if you can't beat out Brunell and Clemens you're just not very good.
