Well, that makes one of us...

Make that 2. I dunno about you, but I don't find every season that doesn't end in a SB to be a miserable experience.

Though I agree with you to some degree, Brady, you have to admit that the end of that one was very very very tough to swallow. I remember that season for being the magical thing that it was, but it was a very bitter ending that I still find difficult to talk about sometimes.

I will NOT discuss it nor talk about it (that last game). I haven't watched the "game whose name shall not be mentioned". When a commercial comes on with scenes from that game, especially on NFLN, I turn the channel. I am simply not interested in anything to do with the end of that season. I don't know when that will ever change.

I will go to my grave knowing that the refs intentionally threw that game to let that other team win. A certain QB should have been ruled "in the grasp" and the play ended. I have NO DOUBT whatsoever that the instructions came down from Goodell himself to make certain that the Patriots DID NOT win that game.

YMMV, of course, but that's how I see it.

respects,

It was hardly "Magical", with BB on his FU Tour of the NFL and Goodell, Specter and Matt Whats-his-face looming over the entire thing, not to mention a total A-Holeapalooza starring Mercury Morris, Don Shula, Kieth (Ivy League-NOT!) Olbermann, Peter King and Tony Cornholio.

And it ended with "perfection" going right through Asante's hands, sparing a Manning of a VERY Manning-esque moment. Even if the Pats had pulled it off, it was going to be tainted. That season could only end one of two ways, profound relief or abject misery. The only thing remotely magical was Tyree's catch. Magic is the only explanation for that miracle.

What a strange gm

1. Double reverse by Pats to start the gm
2. 4th and 13 in 1st quarter going for it instead of kicking a 48 yder
3. Belichick wearing a bright red sweater
4. Giants converting 2 4th downs on the final drive
5. Ellis Hobbs actually made an INT
6. Brady throwing the ball 75 yards in the air on final play
