BB has forgot more about football than I know.

You were dissatisfied with Cunningham's play
Thursday?

Apparently BB at least remembers which players are available.

No idea what your response is referring to. ?????

First you complain we didn't draft a pass rusher, which we did. Then you complain that the scheme and the pass rusher are the problem, when the pass rusher drafted did not play in that game.

You don't like the personnel and you don't like the scheme.

As well as forgetting more than you know, BB's defenses have accomplished more than you ever will.

So, what exactly is your point?

Jerry Hughes, would never get on the field in BB's defense he is to small to set the edge

But what am I missing? Everyone knows that the Pats poor play on defense last season can be directly linked to the lack of a pass rush yet he did nothing to address it. If Jerry Hughes turns out to be good, I'm going to be pissed. Do you think once the regular season starts, exotic blitz packages used far more often will be employed to hide the weakness. It seemed to work a little against the Saints. Without some kind of pressure, I don't see more than 9 wins. Color me concerned.

You have wrote more words than I care to read.

So if BB had Dwight Freeney, your telling me he would never see the field?

If he will let Derrick Burgess put his hand in the dirt and play as a down lineman, he sure as hell would let Freeney.

BB knows more than you. What you're missing is a lot- like most of us- who don't have 1/1000th of the info that BB has to base his decisions on.

RE: Everyone knows? EVERYONE?

RE: Did nothing to address it- We don't know that yet, because we haven't seen the final result. Your statement is based on speculation.

RE: Jerry Hughes... as has been pointed out, not every OLB works in every system. Just because he ends up great or sucking doesn't indicate how he would have done here.

RE Exotic packages... maybe he'll use them, maybe he won't. Very few people know that info right now, and the ones who do know aren't talking. Wait and see.

RE: You don't see more than 9 wins and are now colored concerned.
Dually noted. Your concerned.

Please tell me you watched the Indy - GB game on Thursday night. I would say no if this is you impression of Jerry. Jerry Hughes finally got on the field late in the game and when he did he got pushed around by the back up TE. I mean really pushed around to the point the announcers were pointing out how bad he is against the run. On the two yard line the TE pushed him 5 yards into the end zone all by himself with no help and Hughes could not set the edge if his life depended on it. So that would leave him where to play in our defense??

I think I am the only one who is not throwing the towel in on the season just because of one preseason game. Everyone is looking for the answer (lack of passrush, RB's, young players playing too much ect.) but the simple thing is we are talking about football and this is the NFL. If your team is not ready you will get the performance of what we saw on Thursday night. We still have lots of talent and should be looking forward to the season like we were before Thursday nights game. We **** the bed with our coverage and tackling and could not get off the field on third down. We held the ball for like a quarter on offense and still put up 34 points and lost the game by one. Tate and Gronk really showed what is upcomming and we are still sorting out the DL situation in the wake of Warren's injury. I really think BB might pull off a trade but trust me none of us here could wear the guys hoodie :D so as we say in BB we trust.

Finally some words of wisdom. Personally I am excited about the Pats defensive personel. I think the starters have shown signs of brilliance but have to work on consistency, which is expected from young players.

Yeah, that too One would have thought that his gramma would have taught him better.

Also, weren't they placekickers, too?

I'm really not going to loose sleep over spelling errors nor am I going to spend time checking for them.

Look do I think that BB would have grabbed Graham if he was around at 23, YES, but he wasn't Philly grabbed him at 13. What we do know for sure is that BB thinks that Cunningham is a better football player/fit for the patriots than Dunlap and we shall see if he is right come the first game (if Cunningham finds his way out of Crableland). Did you see Spikes flying at the QB? I think that you are going to see Spikes and/or Mayo bringing the heat. I think the injury to Ty Warren is tough, because there is no more Jarvius Green to back him up. You are correct in that the Pats lack the 6-4+ 300 DE that fits the system, but then again, guys like that don't exactly grow on trees.

I too worry about the pass rush, but you just can't wish for players to drop in your lap, rememberthat Seymour was the 6th pick in the draft and Warren was the 12th, and Big Vince was a steal at #21. Next year (with the Seymour pick) the stud DE comes, but for now, just because you have a need, doesn't necessarily mean that you can fill it.

That is certainly your right, but as the way we communicate on this forum is by writing, if you cannot communicate your ideas accurately than do not be surprised when people dismiss them accordingly.
