Why should a coach give anything more than he required too. He is under no responsibility to release any extra info or answer any questions. He answer to one person only and that is Bob Kraft. He is the only one who can ask questions and deserve answers.
The guy is a total ****, but he is our total ****. I would rather have him be good at coaching then good at press conferences.
Come on, BB. It's only preseason, bro!!!
Think for a minute and you'll realize that BB is simply practising being wicked pissed for the regular season when the team loses a game because of pathetic effort. That Belichick, always working the pre-season to the max. Heh.
Of course... not. This is his 11th season with the Patriots. An interesting hypothesis, and of course Belichick is finishing his 10th year with the Patriots...
The "10 year shelf life" of coaches seems much a overrated theory to me. Could you list some example names the book cites? When I started trying to think of some, those who seemed to support the theory (other than Bill Walsh probably) had much different "career arcs" than Belichick, which makes me wonder how much the theory would apply to him anyway. He adduces many examples in support. His hypothesis to explain the phenomenon is that very successful coaches come on the scene with a novel approach that sweeps the competition, but that eventually the league adjusts.
He did seem to be in midseason form on that sideline interview.

I think if it was up to Bill, we all would be wondering who the guy in the Hoodie was.
It's an amazing coincidence how often the shelf life of a great NFL coach coincides perfectly with the shelf life of their quarterback.I'd think you're freakin crazy ... except KC Joyner in his book "Blindsided" makes an interesting historical case that great coaches have a ten-year shelf life.
