I haven't see anyone mention this quote, but I thought it was interesting because Bill doesn't hand out compliments very often.

"He's always had good plays, but it's his consistency this year through the whole camp," Belichick said of Brady. "I doubt if he's thrown five interceptions in 20-something practices."

Hopefully this isn't because our secondary sucks! :D

And in there lies the problem with watching practice if something good happens it happened vs a teamate.

I think it is important to note that with out contact there is less balls being knocked in the air and less aggression out of the DBs.

And the minor detail of no pass rush.

But camps usually have plenty of INTs and it might say more about the young receivers running the right routes than our HOF QB not throwing a pick.

Eh, cynics. If Belichick paid Brady's performance enough mind to mention this in interview, it's probably legit. Might not mean too much in the long run, but to assume it's a product of weaker defense? How is this defense weaker than 2009? Is the loss of Warren greater than the additions of Spikes and McCourty and the development of Chung? If Brady is playing better in camp he's playing better in camp. Take it at face value and move on.

Whatever, trade Brady. I want to see a straight up trade of Brady for Sanchez.

Obviously folks have forgotten that Brady has played against New Orleans and Atlanta in camp scrimmages this summer. I watched Brady in a couple days, one against New Orleans at the Gillette practise field. Intense is an understatement. He is on a mission this year. Believe it.

That is a riot. I also hope he doesn't think the pass rush is always going to be this non-existant. Oops. Did I say that out loud?

I don't know about you but I saw us having a pass rush in our two preseason games. And as previously noted, Brady practiced against the Saints and Falcons defenses.

If Belichick is saying that Brady is playing great all TC then he is playing great. Why try to find a way to be negative?

The joke completely flew over your head.

By non existing pass rush he was refering to the fact that the D does not hit the QB in practice so he has all day long to find targets.

Puhleese, Belichick has been lavishing praise on Brady for 10 years now... its nothing new. At this point, he'd sell his kid before he disses Brady.

I seem to remember Brady throwing a lot of picks last TC to a lesser secondary. I also seem to remember openly wondering about whether or not it was on Brady or because our secondary was so good. Unfortunately, it turned out to be on Brady. If he's sharper so far this season, than that's a good thing for #12 (and us).

I agree after watching him at practice this year he seemed more focused than he has in the past couple of years... he is intensely intense...

Either that or he is frowning about his lack of contract...

I know it may be sad to say, but that's the first thing that came to my mind. I don't know why, but that really is the first thing I thought about.

It was a good read nonetheless.

There's a classic Glass is Half Full/Half Empty situation.

"I doubt he's thrown five int's," vs. "Our secondary hasn't made five picks in 20 practices."

Does this mean Brady is going to be traded?:(

How has his body language been though?

That's not necessarily true since the secondary hasn't only played against Brady.
