Edelman among those absent. Wide receiver Julian Edelman, who played in Thursday’s preseason game in Atlanta, was not seen on the practice fields. Also absent were defensive lineman Kade Weston, wide receiver Matthew Slater, offensive lineman Nick Kaczur, and safeties Bret Lockett and Josh Barrett.



7 players did return Tully,Guyton, Thomas Williams, Dane Fletcher, Damione Lewis,Bodden, and Bussey though Reiss only counts as 6

I hope you are right but that has not really gone on much this camp and in past camps and other camps is generally more for the long time vets.

I will go more with ctpatsfan77 logic and that is to wait and see before panicing.

I thought it was a little strange that he only played a few snaps against the Falcons and wondered if something happened to him....then again, it could be nothing..

Exactly, I noticed the same thing, I think he had one catch, got crushed, and never played again. I was looking to see if I noticed him after the game, and did see him go to midfield to talk to the Falcons, but I was still concerned. Not liking this at all.

No mention of slings, limps, etc., which they probably would have noticed (after the whole Wes Welker/Tom Brady watch. . . .).

I'd say thats grounds for a day off. Nicely done Mr. Edelman! Maybe he had a bet with BB? I hope to high heaven this isn't anything serious. It would be nice if the injury bug would GTFO of Massachusetts and go haunt NY, Indy, Cali for a bit...

He didnt practice, he was present though I think I read. Kind of wondering how serious his injury is because you would think the coaching staff would want him to get some playing time before the season starts. Early reports from training camp were that he looked pretty good and could see some decent time this year.

I saw him limp off of the field after he got hit. I dont think it is too serious, but I remember saying he wouldnt be back in the game after he got hit.

He is on the stationary bike now, so a return is in the near future. He was reported to be on the bike yesterday at practice inside the Dana Farber.
