There are lots of decisions still to be made before the "final" cuts to 53. We then will look at all the cuts from other teams and likely cut a couple of more.

I see 20 players plus possible acquisitions fighting for the last 10 roster spots. For now, I presume that Mankins and Kaczur are gone. Technically, they move the total of possible in-house contenders up to 22.

PICK 2: Wendell, Ohrnberger, Ghiaciuc, Larsen
PICK 2: Morris, Taylor, Green-Ellis
PICK 2: Murrell, Ninkovich, Woods, Fletcher, Williams
PICK 2: Brace, Lewis, Deaderick
PICK 2: any of the above, Wilhite, Lockett, Brown, Slater, Alexander

Wilhite, Lockett (next in line Deaderick if BB wants to carry 7 linemen)

:) I have him on the bubble. I have Wheatley and Arrington as roster favorties (ahead of him and not on the bubble) at this point. But still, Wilhite may very well be the best value for our 52nd or 53rd roster spot. Having a player who the team has had start as our #10, emergency defensive back isn't a terrible situation. He's not one of our best four corners.

Wilhite has to go..

I don't think Wilhite will make the cut, and for the fans sake, I hope her doesn't! He could cause alot of hair loss!

What do you see in Larsen? I was initially intrigued by him as well, that is until I saw him play he was woeful (against 2nd/3rd stringers).

As a possible development project, so he might end up on PS instead. If he does, I reckon Wendell makes it instead.

If Wilhite doesn't make the 53 I see a 10 to 15% decrease in the amount of posts on this site come regular season. It does appear from all we've read that he could be gone.

Interesting list does this mean you have both Wheatley and Arrington as locks?

I'll play along with your game....

I'll take Wendell and Larsen, though I wouldn't care if none of these guys made the roster. I know it will be overlooked, but it looks the Patriots whiffed on Ohrnberger despite trading two 5th round picks to move up to acquire him in round 4.

I'll take Morris and Taylor, though I'd rather keep just one of the two and hope a more intriguing option becomes available at the cut to 53. I don't have anything against Green-Ellis, I just don't see him being good enough at RB or on special teams to justify a spot.

I'll take Woods and...Ninkovich, but with the caveat that I haven't seen enough of Murrell to make a determination on him. This is yet another position where I would be fine with keeping less than 2 players (based on talent, not on need).

I'll take Brace and Lewis. The longshot that Brace plays like a high second rounder this year is one thing that could make up for the loss of Ty Warrent. Lewis stays because we need him to rush on passing downs as Wright will play more base defense. Deadrick/Love/Weston all seem like practice squad guys to me at this point.

Final Group: Assuming Wheatley and Arrington are on the team (is Sam Aiken on the team too?), I have a hard time keeping more DBs. That said, I still keep Wilhite because he's the most talented player of the group. It then comes down to Slater, Lockett, or Thomas Williams(from the group of LB's). All 3 have been injured this camp, I'll go with Thomas Williams.

Wendell held his own vs the Saints, I think he could be the game day back-up if Kaczur is out.

With the current situation at guard, there really is no room for Larsen on the 53. He needs a lot of work on his strength and technique; he isn't NFL ready and probably won't be for a few years. PS at best.

PICK 2: Murrell, Ninkovich, Woods, Fletcher, Williams
PICK 2: Brace, Lewis, Deaderick
PICK 2: any of the above, Wilhite, Lockett, Brown, Slater, Alexander

I'd be inclined to make all 6 of these be defense. And boot off Aiken to make it 7 defenders.

I want all 3 DL, and Wilhite, and a bunch of LBs.

Considering Ohrenberger has looked light years better than larsen, how do you make this determination?

Gonna say Wendell, Ohrnberger, but I'll admit I don't watch the OL closely enough to know why.

Taylor, Green-Ellis. I don't love BJGE, but I have more faith in him staying healthy than Morris, and I feel like everything Morris can do, another back on the squad can do as well.

Murrell, Woods (see below)

Brace, Lewis (with Deaderick hopefully going to the PS

Brown, maybe Wilhite.

Also, I'm assuming you have Aiken making the squad, which I might kick off in favor of another LB, like Ninko or Fletcher. I'd also consider keeping one of those two in favor of Wilhite, but only if Arrington shows he can play CB in a pinch.

wendell, ohrnbust
Kaczur on IR

morris, green ellis and taylor

Murrel, Ninkovich, Woods,

Brace/Lewis

Lockett

Seems to me that we have 24 (or more) guys fighting for 12 spots, but for now I'll buy into the implicit assumption in the way you framed this that Aiken and Arrington are on the team and that everyone not mentioned here is on the outside looking in, although it's still early for that I think. I need to take a closer look at the ST starters to feel at all confident, but I'll play along anywho:

Wendell, Ohrenburger (Least sure here. Ghiaciuc and Larsen are on the steep part of the learning curve and could improve before final cuts.)
Morris, Taylor
Murrell, Woods
Brace, Deaderick
Lewis, Green Ellis

This is silly because (a) we don't know who the first 43 guys on your roster are, and (b) no matter who they are, I bet at least 1 of them doesn't make the final 53.

That said, I would pick the following 10 from your list:

Ohrenberger, Morris, Taylor, BJGE, Murrell, Nink, Woods, Brace, Lewis, Deaderick.

I'd like to see more of Sergio Brown , maybe he's just a flash in pan but have to see larger body of work from him.....if good, maybe he can sneak onto PS if BB doesn't want to carry 5 safeties...let's see if there's a bit of Harrison in him...

If I have to choose ten of the above, it's be easier than I first thought.
Wendell, Ohrnberger, Guycheck, Morris, Green-Ellis, Murrell, Ninkovitch, Woods, Brace, Lewis...Deadrick to PS
