I truly believe that Ty Warren being placed on IR will ignite a major fire under Mr. Brace. I know alot of people are somewhat down on Brace, I'm not, like I had stated in another post, I saw enough in the Buffalo game to see the value that Brace can bring to this line.

He's huge, he's stout and he'll hold his ground on the run and I feel, with reps, he will begin to collapse the pocket the more he plays. I feel he has alot of upside and I think he's going to take full advantage of this situation that has just presented itself with Ty Warren's opening.

I can't wait to watch him Thursday night.

Same here. Hopefully he shows more vs. the run against the first string than Damione Lewis did against the second string. I'm not sure why people have been down on Brace. I thought he looked pretty decent after the first series against Buffalo as well. I'll keep a close eye on him as well.

Only if he also eats that special blend of hot chili they make down in El Paso.

Re: Ron Brace will seize the moment !

I hope so. My enthusiasm has waned a bit, hopefully you have enough for both of us.:)

well played good sir...Erik Scalavino???

Re: Ron Brace will seize the moment !

If Ron learns to seize the salad bar he may well end up being better than even he thought he could be.

Re: Ron Brace will seize the moment !

Careful with that enthusiasm towards him, don't you know Riddler that he is a bust after one season?!?!?!

Or so that is what people have been whining about since last year

He will play and he will play well but because he isn't an every down starter blowing guys off the line sacking every down he will get ridiculed until he leaves town

Re: Ron Brace will seize the moment !

Brace will be forever compared with the 6th rounder DL the patriots drafted in the same year as Brace. Is it fair to compare the player we chose at #40 to the one we chose at #207 in the same draft?

I think someone hijacked the Riddlers account. Much too cheery lately.:D

Ones a 4-3 tackle, the others a NT project and possible run stuffing 3-4 end backup.

If our ton of low round, FA DLs were more ready or talented, they might both be cut, but they probably both stay.

Brace fits our D better but has signs of being a total washout.

Pryor doesn't fit our D well at all, but is the kind of player you love, adds some inside rush potential in sub packages and gives a hell of an effort at NT, which he is ill suited for on a regular basis in the NFL. Too bad he isn't taller, as we need some backup ends.

Re: Ron Brace will seize the moment !

hes a Mass native, I believe he will "emBrace" the moment.

I need sleep:(

I agree 100% with this analysis.

I'm certainly not ready to call the man a bust just yet, but it doesn't look good to me. He's on the cusp . . .

If Brace does pan out, thats alot of mass up front. Warren - 325, Wilfork - 325 and Brace - 330. Maybe we can get them a few double stackers from KFC and get the total up to 1000 lbs.

LMAO very good:D

I can only hope this optimism is founded. The emergence of Brace as an adequate starter would be key to the overall functionality of this defense. The Pats have survived patchwork lines in the past, but it scares me.
