Wild weekend...starting to feel like the Red Sox!

Torry Holt - IR. Got that one.

Ty Warren - IR, right?

Nick Kazcur - Status?

Jermaine Cunnngham - Status?

Brady and the most important fingers in New England?

Any others?

Warren to IR, done for the year, yup.

Belichick is pretty mum about Kaczur and I think he's going to be out for a couple more weeks if I had to guess, but doesn't look to be that serious.

Cunningham is day-to-day, I think. Same with Bodden and TBC (and a few others that aren't as important like T. Williams, Lockett, Jenkins, D. Lewis, and Slater)

And Brady said he hit his finger(s) on a Saints helmet but it's nothing and he's totally fine.

Bodden and Guyton have been out for a while, but it sounds like they'll be fine

Tully had an Ankle injury over the weekend.

and there are a few guys like Slater who are hurt but wouldn't leave anyone worried.

its a physical sport

I was at the open practice on Sunday. They did a drill the requires the QBs to catch passes thrown by the other QBs. Brady was catching and handling some paases thrown at him with some pretty good zip. If his finger was a concern, I doubt he would have participated in the drill. Although, he did drop on pass that hit him right in the gut. He was playfully heckled by the crowd on hand.

Cunningham is the one that still seems really up in the air, as far as knowing the severity of it. We know that TBC and Bodden are minor, Brady's is pretty much inconsequential, and that Kaczur is serious, but Cunningham seemed to just come out of left field. I didn't even realize that he was hurt until he didn't play in the Saints game. I'm also not so sure what's going on with Guyton, but I worry about him less with the depth that we have behind him.

Pretty sure Guytons is not to serious either as he has been seen the last week or so in Sweats running around with the team.

Splinters?

Splinters?

Not sure what your point is. Other than this years injury, he was hurt last year but I believe he made it thru his rookie season. Did you see last years injury? It was pretty gruesome with everyone expecting it to be season ending and he came back a few weeks later and played the rest of the year and I think he was dealing with it for most of the season or at least protecting it more than the norm as it seemed wrapped up most games.

(after that rant I hope you were implying soft by "Splinters" because if not that was pointless)

Kind of a shame after drafting him in the 6th, him proving why he deserved to be drafted there despite only being a STer, and after showing toughness last year he might not make the squad due to not being on the field. IMO he would have a leg up for one of the few STs only spots but it becomes much easier to pass him if he isnt on the field.

It's always going to be up and down throughout the season and even offseaon w/ injuries. We need new guys to step up and play hard. Here's to hoping we are strong in December.

I think it was the year we won the second super bowl. We we're hit by a lot of key injuries in TC and the first couple of games. I remember thinking not this year, its just an unlicky year. As it turned out guys stepped up and had one of the best season ever in the Pats history. I guess my point is every year we're going to get injuries, lets hope they have guys waiting that can step up and play.

Yeah, as fan you just have to realize injuries happen to every team. The good ones find ways to deal with them. It's part of the game.

I think the Patriots set an NFL record that season for man-hours lost to injury, or something like that. It was amazing how they kept on winning in spite of it. Wasn't that the year Troy Brown was pressed into service on defense?

I heard that Welker is fighting off some lingering injury he picked up last year.

I heard Welker used lavender and oiled up the injury, admired it's musky scent and then wrestled it to the ground.

I heard he just oiled it up; and his mechanics were right as rain :)

Welker got injured last year?

Hey, that's just what I heard. I don't have any inside information like a guy like Tom Curran would.

I agree with that totally...

It is actually amazing how the Belichick approach of 'We just worry about playing with who we here...' has actually also altered my personal feelings on injuries.

That said, I was just totally disconnected from news and sports all weekend and refocused on Monday to find this one out and that one out...

Thanks for all the clarifications and updates, lads...

The one good thing about the Patriots is that they build for depth. They spread the wealth, so that there are always quality backups.
