For those who used to record Pats games, I'm looking for VHS tapes of the 1993 and 1994 seasons. What I'm offering is to convert those tapes for you to DVD or blu-ray free of charge (including shipping) and I will return the tapes along with the discs once it's done. It's an hobby of mine, so I'm well equipped and can enhanced the video quality a bit (do not expect to watch a '93 game in HD quality though !).

Or if you have no need for these tapes anymore, I will be happy to take those of yours hands (or basement) for some cash.

I'm also open to trading, as I have most games in very good shape since 1996. I also have a buch of older games, but the quality varies.

For those interested, please PM me.

With a few more Falcons fans that will visit the forum this week, I'm also looking for somebody with a good copy of the 1995 Pats/Falcons games...

I think it's really interesting to see those 2 years in particular. Since The Pats settled on sticking with particular uniforms for a decent amount of seasons ever since the merger in 1970 (there's been 3 major red Pat Patriot and 2 main blue Flying Elvis combos since). The variations of their 1960-1969 AFL unis are too numerous to list here. But the '93 & '94 new look unis were a strange period. Both years were the only year for BOTH of those home and away uniforms. The '94s were even different than the '93's. I'd KILL for a '93 home jersey with the red front & back numbers with the whites on the shoulders. It's bazaar looking.

It was great to see the new Pats with all the Parcells Giants links. The birth of the modern era Patriots. Seven game winning streak entering the '94 playoffs too. And Bledsoe was a marquee qb. The nation was finally paying attention to what was happening in Foxboro.

And those 2 strange uniform seasons.

They were awesome looking....just need Pat Patriot on top and on the sleeves to complete the look...Elvis was not a good look with that Jersey IMO

YEAH! THAT one! Cool. Thanks. ima screen capture it.
And a shot of the 1994 away unis would be killer too. The ones they wore in The Cleveland playoff game vs. Coach Bill. They were better than the '93s because they made the wise decision to connect the outline on the chest & back numbers from how they were originally disconnected on the 93's. In fact, the late 70's AWAY jerseys and the 1994 AWAY jersey are my 2 favorite Pats jerseys of all time. Those 2 whites designs are so nice.

Now, if they could only get BETTER away uniforms NOW. I hate the aways. I hate disconnected outlines on chest & back numbers. They're touching on the homes! Why not on the aways too? And those blue pants with the ugly stripe scheme suck. At least in the late 90's, they had SILVER pants.

Oh, and lastly, the blue on the flying elvis on the 93-99 helmets is lighter blue than the 2000-present ones. Sometimes, these days, people look for a helmet icon to cut & paste, and they think they're using a present day one, but they're pasting a 90's one with the blue the old shade.

Does Apex even make Jerseys anymore?

I don't think so. I fact, I've never even seen anyone walking around with a replica of either year's, 93's or 94's. The first ones people started walking around in NYC (where I've been since 1986. I grew up until 20 in Connecticut, hence the Pats connection) were the late 90's blue Bledsoe's, and a favorite of all the brothas in town was the white Ty Law one. Both with the huge Elvis on the shoulders. Man, see that these days and it looks freaking enormous.

I'll never understand why they did that weird vague tinting vertical stripes pattern barely noticeable on the late 90's blue jerseys. I mean, wtf was the idea behind that deal? Woulda looked so much better with solid blue. Why the strange fat strip look?

I have a ultra rare Wilson company mid 80's Craig James #32 red home and the ultra common blue Brady #12.

I have a couple of Autographed jersey's from around that time. Ben Coates and Brisby i think.

Man was it easy to get stuff signed back then when nobody cared about them. just about the only good thing about the team in the early 90's.

I have an authentic Bledsoe jersey from Wilson from 1998,I absolutely LOVED those jerseys which had the big Elvis logo on both shoulder areas....those were probably my favorite uniform of all time for the Pats....(with the exception of the Pat Patriot logo on the Helmet of the earlier days)

What I don't get is the authentic Wilson jerseys which were out... Wilson (as far as I know) was never the on-field jersey supplier.

1993-1994 was Apex and then on it was Starter/Adidas/Reebok (in roughly that order).

I know Wilson did the Dolphins and Bills, though.

I believe Apex AND Wilson split the production of the Pats on-filed jerseys IIRC

Yeah, I thought that woulda sounded strange to a learned uni buff. The deal with my mid 80's red craig james #32 is that its actually a MacGregor jersey with the added space up around the shoulders for pads. Sorry about that. I pulled it out of my dresser and I realized the error. It's still REALLY rare though. There's 2 tags down on the lower right down by the bottom edge. The top red one (about 2 square inches) has the NFL logo & says "Officially Licensed Product". The lower one (same size) is white and reads "Sand Knit Youth Large. Berlin, Wi. U.S.A. MacGregor Sporting Goods".
I think it's like a Pop Warner kids jersey, but it's big enough for me to squeeze into.

I would love a blue Bledsoe like you have, Mania. Strange 2 tone blue vertical stripes be damned.

And that other guy who said nobody cared about the early 90's Pats, I beg to differ. The SECOND Parcells was named coach and Bledsoe taken 1st in the draft, the whole national media spotlight came to Foxboro and really hasn't left since. Maybe he's talking about 1990-1992. I dunno. But once Parcells came, the Pats were on Nationally Televised games way more, all of a sudden. A bunch of Monday Nights too.

Oh, I meant Patriotsfaninpa. My bad.

Btw, they're gonna wear the mid 80's throwbacks on Thanksgiving. They're saying it's gonna be the reds (?). I can't understand why though. Detroit always wears dark at home every Thanksgiving. Maybe everybody has this wrong. But last time Pats were there (Thanksgiving 2002), they wore the mid 80's red jerseys, though. I dunno why The Lions seem to only wear white on Thanksgiving if The Pats are in town.

Last year, with the 1963 throwbacks (which weren't really very accurate, but close enough) they wore the reds 3 times, because the Miami away game they had to wear red. The only time we got to see the all-white aways was in Denver.

My fave Pats uni of all time was the late 70's, early 80's aways, with the white jerseys and RED pants. Those were so gorgeous.

Then there's Kontra, who likes the all blue look they sported twice. Yuck.

Looks-Raider like but I would love to see the team play in Alternate Black Jerseys with the Red,Blue,Silver,White colors blended in for a dramatic effect.

Have them in Black Pants with the american stripes and keep the current helmet and we would have a great look!

i think STARTER made all the jerseys for the NFL back then ?

Oh bleh! lol. This is getting surreal, but it's fun.

Man, there was one guy around here who had a pic of Faulk and he changed all the blue in the home uniform to RED. It looks AWESOME. The red with silver on the shoulders of the jersey and maybe even silver numbers instead of white. ima go find it and post it.

There. I hope this goes through and I don't see just text here without the image.

Sorry but chances are that a 17 year old VHS tape hasn't decomposed by now are extremely slim, unless someone regularly watched and rewound them periodlically, and kept them stored in a dehumidified environment.

Yeah, these rule. If they wore these for the alternates (replacing the now-retired silver jerseys) they would sell by the truckload. Especially with silver numbers too, like the raiders have.
