Wow, and I thought Zac Robinson was terrible as a third stringer...if Manning ever goes down, the Colts are screwed.

Painter is their second stringer. Poor guy. The crowd is now booing him.

As for Manning, his luck is probably going to run out eventually.

They love Painter in New York ...

They need to put Hiller in. He's the future.

How can anyone say that Zac Robinson is terrible after playing a small portion of one preseason game?

I'm pretty sure he's been getting bad TC reports, and he didn't do himself any justice in the small amount of time he played against NO. Maybe it was the fault of the backup OL, but I have my doubts about him having any potential. I'm not giving up on him yet, but still...

Yeah I hear ya, I'm just really optimistic about our rookies. For Robinson, it may take a couple years for him to develop as a QB.

Indy's run defense is getting **** on.

Jerry Hughes looks very good.

:(

The biggest issue for the Colts is that they are completely incapable of running the ball. They will break the occasional draw play but they go backwards when they just line up and try to run. Even their patented stretch play has effectively been scrapped because they can't block for it.

Manning is still the best timing passer I have ever seen. Not sure it is the safest gameplan to just ride Manning's arm exclusively. The defense looked quick and active but there were still big plays to be had (Smith just couldn't capitalize).

Of course none of the Colts' "weather" road games are in December. In fact, in the last 8 years the Colts have only played 2 outdoor games north of Baltimore after Thanksgiving...Buffalo last year and Denver in 2004. Both on the last week of the season and both not affecting the playoffs (Colts got crushed in both). No Pats, Jets, Giants, Packers, Browns, Bengals, Bears or Steelers in the cold. Amazing coincidence, isn't it?

Robinson has a charming personality and none of the intangibles. It's as if sometimes Bill picks for this offense and other times he picks what he thinks might sell/flip well. Zac reminds me in some ways of KOC, the JETS 4th stringer...

I thought Tim Hiller might be a fit here. Supposed to be fairly cerebral. I heard he wasn't doing well in Indy. Who would... Learning to run the Manning offense and do the LOS performance art crap is going to be next to impossible. When he goes that offense will go with him. When Brady goes they will have someone in the pipeline who is at least competent and has a relatively decent grip on this offense or a slightly scaled back version of it. Won't be the same, but it won't be 1-15 either, which is where the Colts will land their first season without him. I heard Brandstater was the new favorite in Indy. Looked great handing the ball off. Passing, not so much...

Every year I tell myself I'm going to watch every pre season game on NFLN. Then, I don't end up watching hardly any... Gotta say though, we looked a lot better than what little I've seen and heard of the competition - especially considering who we were playing.

Anthony Dixon looks a load. He should really help the 49ers offense this year spelling Gore.

Because the concensus of those of us who attended multiple camp days was that each and every day he did not impress. And that's without a contact pass rush.

Before some people get too excited, they shanked last pre-season's games too. Lost the last one 38-7.

Very disappointed that Pats didn't draft him even though he fell to the 6th round.

Did anyone hear the begining of the broadcast when the Colts broadcasters actually referred to the Colts as a dynasty? So now you only have to win one SB against a Rex Grossman led team to qualify as a dynasty. Sad thing is people from Indy probably believe that.

all that matters is how their ones did, and they looked really good. peyton completely dissected that 49ers D. they will be tough and have an easy schedule to boot.

Anyone else notice the Colts new laundry? They seemed to have gone to a slightly darker shade of blue, with a solid blue helmet with 2 horseshoes, one on each back quarter and a white stripe front to back. Interesting. they look more like Utah State University's team, but whatever. I've just never seen them with a solid blue helmet before, especially with the logo on the back like that.

Me too. There were three backs I desperately wanted - him, Ben Tate, and Montario Hardesty.

That's hilariously embarrassing.

Addai and Brown ran 10 times for 7 yards. 1st and goal from the 2 and they ended up with a FG. The defense looked good but against Alex Smith (with no Gore) it is hard to get a good impression. He had Vernon Davis wide open for a long TD and missed on an easy throw.

I see this game as a victory for the Colts just on the basis of nobody important getting hurt.
