It might be a smart move to pick up Schobel.....

Make it worth his while to stay up north for a couple of seasons....

Can't say I'm opptimistic about the chances of him signing with Patriots tho.

There is no question that the patriots would like to have Schobel. Unfortunately, our home games aren't played in Texas. This reminds me of the Jsaon Taylor situation over the past couple of years.

There is no question at all in my mind that Schoebel would add signifcantly more than others that might make the squad in addition to the 6 DL's and 8 OL's that would have made the squad in addition to Burgess had he stayed.

its obvious that he should spare no expense whatsoever in this scenario....he first needs to move the whole patriots franchise to texas, preferably a block or two away from schobel's house

it might cost a little bit to buy out the land, build a stadium in 1 month, and move EVERYONE connected with teh Pats to the other side of the country.......but cmon, if he doesnt hes really cheap

Maybe if the pats can convince him that he's the missing piece for a Superbowl run and then pay him well to boot then his Texas home sickness might take a back seat to a chance for a ring.

Nah, that's just exorbitant and wasteful. Clearly, the sensible compromise would be to buy a lear jet for Schobel and hire a pilot that will fly him between Foxboro and Texas for each practice. While it may not be enough to keep Felger from calling Kraft cheap, it might still get the job done.

I feel the same way. If he had his heart set on the Texans, I expect the Texans would throw their best offer at him and the deal would be done. If there are other considerations involved, he might go elsewhere.
