According to Reiss, he's a Guard.

Wise being cut just re-affirms the Stephen Neal story.

His profile lists him as a Center....

Has starting experience while spending 3 yrs on Bengals.....

No activity last year on Chargers

We could use some competition in camp for the interior line positions. We have two OL rosters spots available and the following players: Ohrnberger, Larsen, Bussey and Welch. Welch seems destined for the Practice Squad.

STARTERS: Light, Kaczur, Koppen, Neal, Vollmer
BACKUPS: Connolly, LeVoir

I wouldn't be surprised to see Wise back on the PS in September.

Being cut this early in training camp? Not likely...

Realistically, he's not making the team this year, and it might simply be a matter of, with Kaczur's injury, needing all of the spots available to sort out who can help us right now. They know Wise isn't going anywhere.

Precisely. Wise is not ready this year, if ever. He's definitely not going anywhere so the PS is feasible if BB sees raw potential. Just no point in spending time on a OL guy who is not gonna be on the 2010 roster.

Congrats Patriots on making a wise move

This guy may be too much of a longshot for even the PS. Wasn't there a guy from Kent state who they also had on as a wrestler to OL guy? Never heard about him again.

They still have plenty of time to keep him around and there are many other guys just as far from making the roster as him in much more in depth positions- if he was going to be a lock or even a possible for the PS why impede him by cutting him before he even gets into real games(preseason, but still a live game)?

I'm not buying that he even goes on the PS...I hope I am wrong but I am not buying it.
