A fist bump of epic proportions!

that 87 reminds of ..... shall i say .. Ben "winter" Coates..:rocker:

Oh yes, prolly one of my favorite TE's of all time.

If he's anything close to as reliable a TE as Coats was, we're in good shape.\

:rocker:

Look how small Welker looks! And he is in the foreground! Welker, the Oklahoma boy, is one of my favorite pats of all time.

If they got mixed up on routes, I could see Gronk catching Welker and the ball at the same time. What's the rule on that?

Gronk has a long way to go before he catches Coates. He probably does not even have a single common-law wife; nevermind one in every state. And I strongly suspect that his gun collection is nothing compared to Coates. Oh and yea he has yet to catch pass.

BTW what made Coates great was that he pushed off on every pass play and was never called. Once the zebra starting calling it (probably at the prompting of Bill Polian) his career went in the toilet.

BTW Gronk is supposed to be able to deliver the devastating block downfield; I can see why. I would really really love to see him take off Ray Lewis's head. And he will get his chance.

That's a great picture, but major props goes to the person that captures Vollmer and Welker in a similar pose.

Wes Welker is the centre of the universe. I am certain of that.

wow... he looks huge

I think he reminds me a little of Todd Heap. Gronk might be a little wider. but they both are tall rangy TE.

Welker looks like he's asking for an autograph from Gronk.

I doubt anyone else can drag 5-6-7 defenders 15 yards down the field trying to take him down. If coates has a son, can we sign him now?

Gronk's a monster. Should make for a pretty valuable red zone target this season.

Coates is my fav TE of all time. but i have to say what made him great was bledsoe, he was he's go to guy just like welker, is bradys go to guy Coates, would of have been a good TE with out drew but he never would have put up the same numbers he did the same with welker,

Can't wait to see Welker hiding behind Gronk on that slip-screen,we like to use.

No red jersey for Welker, eh?

No red jersey for Welker, eh?

That's what confuses the coaches. They keep handing him red jerseys, but as soon as he puts them on, they start turning white. . . .
