Another fun this afternoon.

I was following Gronkowski around for a little and he was fun to watch he had one real nice catch and caught most everything thrown to him. At one point I watched him maul his defender during run work and thought to myself get used to that.

This afternoon it was Welkers turn to play with the crowd after one catch he waved his arms for the crowd to cheer and they did so loudly. He looked good again this afternoon and even got some 11 on 11 work though it was only a few reps.

Hernandex had the catch of the day as he really elevated to get a ball thrown over the deep middle and grabed it with one hand securing it with both.

I thought Holt got a little more wor in today and wasnt always last. Its like they read that thread between sessions. At one point Brady even called his name and threw his way.

Brady and Hoyer were trying to throw a ball 50 yards or so into a trash barrel and while Brady hit the rim several times I never actually saw one go in. I would have thought they would have been better even though it obviously looked diffucult.

Back to work tommorow  but it is the season ticket holder practice tommorow night:D so I will get one in tommorow than none until the weekend.

Great job, SBB. You are performing a tremendous service for us.
Thank you very much.
btw- Just who was that defender Gronks was mauling and did TB complete the pass to Holt?

not sure who the defender was....yes the pass was completed.

How did Holt look? I am surprised he's not getting that much work but maybe they just know he's a vet and doesn't need as much as work as the young ones or so I hope.

And yeah... thanks for the reports, almost like I am there and it's a great feeling after so long with no real football.

I know he's a little low on the interest scale, but I'm wondering how Brandon Deaderick looks? All I've heard is he got some reps today.

Gronk continues to crush those in his path, whether human or blocking sled. :D

Could Hernandez be the opening day starter @ TE? From what I've read he's making plays all over the field and when I attended camp Thurs. Brady REALLY favored him.

Not if you need a TE who can block....probably on passing downs only but who know. I certainly hope the Patriots get creative with their new talent. Can you imagine what Josh McD. would have done with these tools? I have a lot less faith in the current braintrust...

Bear in mind that McDaniels had more tools than O'Brien did last year. You can't overlook what he did with Cassel in 2008, but 2007 had a healthy Brady, Moss two years younger, Welker when no one knew just how good he was, Stallworth who was a huge threat after the catch, and Gaffney who's as good a #4 as you'll get.

O'Brien in 2009 had Brady not only coming off an injury, but suffering multiple injuries as well, Moss hurt, Welker hurt at the beginning AND end of the season, and Sam Aiken as the eventual #3.

Let's see what the current braintrust does with some options (and some experience) before we compare. Most people hated McDaniels after his first year as "OC" too.
