Sucks for Foxworth.

I report this because it's good to keep in mind how things can go wrong well before game #1. Makes me kinda glad Welker is coming back slowly.

Not only that, but Foxworth was a name that was kicked around here during the offseason as a potential guy to bring in in the event that things went south with Bodden.

Ya, but the Ravens are woefully thin at CB, I dunno if we'd ever have got him.

Weakens an already questionable secondary.

And opens up a potential trade partner for Wheatley/Wilhite/Sanders.

We could give them Wilhite, Wheatley and a lifetime supply of Kraft Dinner for a 2013 3rd... lol

Seeing as the Patriots seemed to go out of their way to screw over the Ratbirds in the draft this year, I'm not sure they're good trading partners. . . .

After a strong start of the offseason, the Ravens are really having a lot of problems to end it. Two acquisitions this offseason are now either gone for all the season or at least a significant portion of it.

Are you talking about Kindle, or someone else?

Who is the other one? I know I heard about this... fell down the stairs?

It's unfortunate and hope it doesn't happen to any more players, but i'd be shocked if BB were willing to shore up a weakness on a team that humiliated us in the play offs.

Kindle and Foxworth. Word is Kindle is going to be at least on on the regular season PUP and possibly gone longer.

Bit gutting for him. But the Ravens secondary are going to get burnt!

I'm not sure where you get that idea. They put in their trade, and the Commish decided to accept it even though the Ravens were on the clock. It's not a big deal, and it's definitely not an intentional move by the Patriots to "screw over Ratbirds." Besides, BB and Ozzie Newsome have a good working relationship, and have engineered quite a few draft day trades. If they were interested in any of our defensive backs, I'm quite sure we could work out fair compensation.

All of that aside, best wishes to Domonique Foxworth. Knee injuries really suck (I'm just finishing up rehab on a torn PCL). Hope he recovers soon, with full mobility and strength.

Speedy recovery to Mr. Foxworth.

yup, beyond Ed Reed, there's nothing in the Ravens' secondary that scares me.

Reed may well start on PUP. Teams getting the Ravens in weeks 1-6, such at the Jets and Patriots, should have a pretty big edge on that secondary. The Jets are really getting a gift, because they'll be playing the Ravens in week 1.

Isn't Reed out for the first 6 weeks of the regular season on PUP?

With Reed out for perhaps 6 games as per the rules of PUP list players, this defense will lose a serious threat in their secondary. Any corner that has played in Baltimore has instantly benefited from the ball hawking efficiency of Reed, who has 46 career interceptions.
