You seem to be making a big deal of the 5th year deal. I beleive that has been the norm (and maximum) for players drafted in the second half of the first round. Four years has been the max for players drafted after the first round.

My intention wasn't to "make a big deal" out of the fact it's a five year deal, I'm just pointing out the fact he did get a longer deal than everyone else (which you're correct - many of the other players in that round had been getting 5-year deals), along with comparing it against Revis' deal.

Also, to answer to your other question from the other day, Ian Rapoport of the Herald reported Cunningham's signing bonus, which I added to the rookie numbers:

Mac's football blog which annually keeps track of all the contracts lists all of the 2009 picks #17-32 as having signed 5 year deals...
