The Cowboys announced they agreed to terms with first-round pick Dez Bryant on Thursday.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

I have a feeling he's going to go off on the NFL this year for the Cowboys. Guy just seems like an elite talent at the WR position.

I don't think that deal is particularly egregious in terms of salary for a rookie. Whenever a rookie salary cap gets installed, I can't imagine a scenario where rookies are making much less than that. The biggest changes really need to be made within the top 15 range, particularly in the top 5 where players are walking away with 25+M guaranteed dollars.

That's very reasonable money for a late first rounder. I'm sure the owners are okay with that contract, and I don't see why the NFLPA would be celebrating over it.

And for the Patriots; the bar has been set and now the signings should speed up....time is running out. It is amazing how out of sync a rookie can get out after missing a few days of camp.

It will be interesting to see if Freaking Tom Condon holds his players out of camp. As some of you know he represented some players that would have been of great assistance to the Patriots but the Patriots steered clear of those players because Condon held Watson out. I would be surprised if Sam Bradford makes it to camp on time but Adam Scheffter said he would but it would be the richest contract ever. What a waste on a china-doll player...

No changes need to be made for players drafted after 16.

As much as I hate to say it, while our OL is very good, it's getting old, and has very little depth. Flozell Adams' LT replacement is Doug Free - Free is actually a much better RT, you saw how Jared Allen schooled him in that playoff game when Flo went down.

Plus we're up against much better D's in our division - Philly is stacked(MLB Stewart Bradley is back after missing all of last year, they finally got Dawkins' replacement in the draft with Nate Allen, and the drafting of Brandon Graham will much improve their pass rush), the Giants won't have that rash of injuries like they did last year, and Washington's problems last year wasn't on defense, and they got their QB issues settled obviously.
