Sorry, no. He's too much of a distraction- but then I said that about Moss and Dillon, so what do I know?

It would be fun to have him in camp and them cut his sorry ass.

one year to late.

Right now we currently have an abundance of WRs (not all are proven yet but they will be given their chance to).

When we traded for Moss and CD there was a common thing we had a real need at the positions. Antoine was done and we just went thru a season with Caldwell as our best WR so drastic steps were called for sure we didn't have great depth last year at WR but that problem has been addressed already. Only way this works is if Welker is PUPed and somone else has issues health or skill related.

I'd rather see what Tate/Price/Holt can do, but I wouldn't have a problem with it if Belichick decided to sign him.

I would absolutely LOVE to see Moss, Owens, and Holt on the field for the Patriots. That would be a tremendous sight.

I would have been interested earlier in the offseason when we weren't making moves, but not so much now. Maybe if he agrees to wire his jaw shut before Week 1...

We have an abundance of WR'S right now?......but who are LOCKS??.....Moss....for sure. Edelman....should contribute a fair amount but to what volume productivity in comparison to welker? I personally thinl they will take their time bringing him back. After that seems like alot of what if's. Holt?......Tate??...Price??....Patten??.......Aiken??....etc. I would sign TO in a heartbeat and think he could be a huge success. I would think BB would then hold a PC and lay it out in front of media...that any distraction or mutiny BS by TO.....and he IS F'ING GONE!!....No further discussions......gone. We have nothing to lose and the guy still has huge upsides..........we shall see...

i would not mind seeing him play for the pats welker, may miss the pats first 5 games vs the bengals jets bills the fish and ravens

the ravens and jets both showed they can stop the pats offense with out welker, in the line up and the bills only let brady throw for 100 yards with welker, in the line up the last time they played they could find them selfs haveing a hard time puting up points

i don't think WR is as big need as it was at the start of the offseason but haveing more wapons in a pass heavy offense is a good thing.

I would rather inject cancer into my eyeball.

You are not cutting either of the guys you drafted in the 3rd rd who havent seen the field yet (cept for 5 plays) for a guy who is 35 and who even you say if there is any BS you will cut.

so that leaves Holt a great locker room guy and again you would be cutting him before you give him a chance to play for you.

after that if you carry that many it would be a STs guy like Aiken and/or Slater.

so sorry TO not here unless something drastic were to happen in TC.

TO, Brian Westbrook, and Shawn Andrews will be Redskins when TC starts - book it.

Really?...really? I bet you a bazillion Patriot Bank of America bucks your statement is false. Chad Jackson ring a bell? Moss ring a bell?

Please put a plug in your arse before it speaks. SignBaby..whatever, Owens would be a PERFECT 'distraction'...not for the team we love, but for the opposing defenses. PLEASE stop BRADY, Moss, Owens, Holt, Welker (I hope soon), Edleman, Price, Taylor, Patten....

I think I am done here.

And yes, we can afford to cut a young WR. This is about championships, not the future, we all know it, so does BB. You think BB's contract say's, "Win in the next 4 years"? I bet his wallet doesn't say that...

I can't wait for this board to turn a switch and love T.O. if the Pats sign him.

What does Moss have to do with cutting young WR's?

Patton will not make the team over Tate. Patton has zero upside.

Here is what people are afraid to talk about. Just because the Pats draft a player doesn't mean he's a sure thing. However, dropping Patton over Tate isn't going to cripple the Pats WR group.

I think T.O. would be an excellent addition to give Brady a very solid group of receivers to throw to. Despite what many homers on this board say, the window for this Patriots team (with Brady) is closing fast. In fact, there is a very good possibility that Moss leaves after this season. And if he does, the Pats better hope they develop a solid ground game and a dominating defense or it's 2002/2005/2009 all over again. Or to put more simply, the window has shut on Brady-BB era.

Honestly man, you're the one who's wrong here.

I agree that Owens could be effective on this team. But if you honestly believe that BB would cut Taylor Price, or Brandon Tate or Julian Edelman prior to THIS season before they have even had a chance to shine, than you are insane.

And your Chad Jackson example is pathetic at best considering he was a Patriot for 2 seasons and had some opportunities when he was able to stay healthy...

We don't know what Tate can do yet. Edelmen IS effective...Price is promising and was drafted in the 3rd round and the season hasn't started yet. If you think there is even a remote chance that BB would cut them prior to the season starting, than I don't know what else to say...I mean you sit there and say BB is playing for now cause "his wallet" tells him to? Does that explain the Seymour trade? Does that explain the way he's been building the team recently?

So that brings us back to...where is there even room for Owens? Answer...There isn't.

I don't think I've seen a more misinformed post on here in a long time.

I've said this in a post recently: there probably IS room. In the 53 I predict, we could probably drop either Bussey, Wheatley, or Deaderick, and there wouldn't be any huge problems (especially if Bussey was the one to be cut because we would still have 8 OLinemen). Just make your own 53 and see for yourself if there's any room.
