Its the off-season and little is happening. Anyone care to add?

It can be a throw-away comment, a link, a post, anything which you found particularly funny, witty, sarcastic, whatever...

I may as well go first. Gives me a smirk whenever I read it....

F–k It. I’m Throwing It Downfield.

I have three. One is the George Carlin routine recently linked here. The other two are:

Football combines the two worst features of American life: Violence and committee meetings. -- George Will

Reporter: "Coach, what do you think of your team's execution?"
John McKay: "I'm in favor of it."

I wrote the next installment of "What We've Learned" tonight (it'll run in the morning) and came accross this article in my search this evening - which I didn't mention in that piece, but it fit your request in this thread:

Bill Belichick Drops Off Recent Draft Picks In Middle Of Nowhere, Tells Them To Find Way Back | The Onion - America's Finest News Source

It's a funny read - for those who don't mind satire pieces. I've found people either love/hate "The Onion" - there doesn't seem to be much of an in-between there. So I don't quote it much, but actually found it somewhat humorous.

Nobody in football should be called a genius. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein - Joe Theismann

Way to go ;)

Former New Orleans Saints RB George Rogers

The reason women don't play football is because eleven of them would never wear the same outfit in public. - Phyllis Diller

I'm not sure if this is about football or soccer though.

Hollywood Henderson's comment on Terry Bradshaw's IQ:

"He couldn't spell 'cat' if you spotted him the c and the a."

Ian has to run this board, ctpf. Unlike us, he doesn't have time to waste reading it! :D

On some days, that makes him a lucky man!

Remember someone describing Vince Youngs jersey number as being higher than his wonderlic score.

Dont know how true it was, but I remember laughing out loud when I read it.

"I was interviewing George Halas and I asked him who is the greatest running back you ever saw. And he said, 'That would be Red Grange.' And I asked him if Grange was playing today, how many yards do you think he'd gain. And he said, 'About 750, maybe 800 yards.' And I said, 'Well, 800 yards is just okay.' He sat up in his chair and he said, 'Son, you must remember one thing. Red Grange is 75 years old.' "
