Myles said Russell was arrested at his home early this afternoon during an undercover investigation. He was booked into Mobile Metro Jail at 4:22 p.m. Russell was released minutes later after making $2,500 bail, according to online records.

Yikes, would the UFL even take the guy now? I wonder what goes thru these players heads sometimes. I watched a couple minutes of Hard Knocks: Cowboys this afternoon and it was the part with Pacman Jones being reinstated and he was talking about how he needs to be a better person, yada, yada, yada...how did that work out?

I always knew this guy was a bum player, but he confirmed his moron status during his press conferences last year when he said he didn't think he was playing that bad. I guess this clown just wanted to make big bucks so he could waste it on cough syrup. Amazing.

Hahaha, of all the controlled substances to be arrested with, this has to be the lamest.

A few years ago, I had a really bad cold that was preventing me from sleeping or eating, and this was right after I moved to California. I was prescribed a bunch of codeine, and for a few days I just sat there watching the Red Sox on MLB.tv, laughing at Jerry Remy for no real reason and writing out half-coherent emails to everyone in my family. Definitely not the kind of thing I'd want to do regularly, though it's better than hard drugs I guess.

My junior year in high school I had to have all my wisdom teeth removed. Because they were coming in at an angle it had to be done by an oral surgeon instead of a dentist, I had to be knocked out during the operation, you get the picture. I had a couple days off school but then went back with instructions to take codeine twice a day.

What did I learn during that period? Algebra II and Advanced Composition were a lot more fun after I took my pills.
