Florio: Jets should be pestering the league office to penalize the Pats

So it was only an issue when Favre went to the media and openly put all the blame on the J-E-S-T saying they should have benched him. Essentially saying that the Jets had him play against his will, essentially forcing the League Office to do something about it. On the other hand, Brady never talked about this situation with the media and played out the season, so just because he was playing hurt the League should be enforcing penalties on the Patriots? I don't think so.

In Florio's world it makes sense.

And it's not like the Patriots didn't list his injuries on the injury report (as Florio acknowledges).

I don't get it, they listed his injuries, had him as probable and he played. Where is the problem? If he thinks they should be forced to list the details on every injury (like "2nd degree left knee sprain") thats one thing, but they completely followed the rules, why would the Jets protest to the league?

I guess its just needing something to write about during the dead period.

Ah, you guys are a bunch of homers, just shooting the messanger

Injury reports are important. How else will Vegas know where to set the line so people can bet illegally?:bricks:

So, he's wrote a story about us breaking a rule.

When we haven't broke a rule and it was fully declared.

Florio, you suck.

Jets violate injury report = fine.

Patriots don't violate injury report = fine.

I guess in Florios world that makes sense. Nah, he's just stirring the pot by implying the Pats are somehow skirting the rules and to his credit some morons are biting.

What a moronic post by Florio.

Shouldn't the NFL be pestering the Jets to be a real team?

Why should the Jets worry about doing anything against the Patriots?,After all they are to be the Super Bowl Champions this season so why worry about the mediocre teams when they are Elite and well above teams like the Pats anyway?

Reporting a story or strictly passing on information = being a messenger.

Advocating a position = Not the same thing.

The message was that the Patriots did not break a rule but should be fined. Yes, the messsenger should be shot.

BTW Did you read the article? Are you implying that you agree with Florio? I'd love to hear your rationale.

Florio's apparently upset that the Patriots only disclosed that Brady had finger, rib and shoulder injuries, instead of disclosing finger, rib and shoulder injuries...

Beyond that, let Defenses know he has Broken Ribs and Brady's life is in danger as they'll go right for them

Goodell and the NFL are clearly in bed with the Mafia in helping them set an accurate point spread - and are probably upset they didn't know the FULL extent of Brady's injury but both for player safety, and the integrity of the game, I'm glad they didn't divulge more.

Whooooosh.

So Florio thinks the Jets should pester the league to fine the Pats for listing Brady with rib and finger injury when he broke them because the Jets were fined for not listing Favre on the injury report at all when he tore his pectorial muscle?

Belichick was under no obligation to disclose that Brady's ribs and finger were broken nor did he violate a rule when he denied it. From what I can remember, Brady practiced just as much as he did when he was healthy. Brady was never going to miss a game because of the injuries. I don't get the beef. Probable means that there was a 75% chance he would play and he didn't miss a game for either injuries. Nothing but pot stirrig.
