OT: In Plain Sight...TONIGHT

Hey, guys, sorry if this is annoying, but I wanted to let you know that I wrote the season finale of IN PLAIN SIGHT, which airs tonight, June 30th, at 10 PM on the USA Network. I hope you guys'll watch or, at least, set your DVRs to tape (helps with ratings). It would mean a lot to me.

FWIW, it opens in a strip club and there are a couple hot stripper-types in the episode.

I'm looking forward to it. This will be the 3rd time that Mary and Marshall have been involved in gun play.... Twice as season finales. I've liked the season so far.. Though, the black accountant and the noob Marshall (Steve??) seem like after-thoughts and don't seem to fit into the story lines..

It's a good show, and I think the finale turned out pretty solidly. The strippers help kick it off early!

Believe me, no one gets that more than the writer who was brought in mid-season. I actually like CHARLIE (the noobie recruit), but there just hasn't been a lot of strategizing and vision in terms of integrating him into the ensemble. Ditto for the accountant. We'll see if, moving forward, those characters will be fleshed out.

Hope you can watch tonight. There is a shoot-out, but I won't tell you what happens or whom it happens to. I WILL say, however, that we've seen Mary shot (last year's season finale) and Marshall shot, and I preferred not to do what's been done.

It seems like the good shows run about a half dozen episodes and then you wait months for a new "season" to begin.

We had 13 this season. It was originally meant to be 16, but a screw-up b/w USA and scheduling nixed episode 16, then the two-hour finale (episodes 14 and 15) got nixed b/c of an illness that befell our show-runner, and an unfortunately panicky decision from above. As someone in the writer's room, I can say with full confidence that we could've cranked out two more, no problem. Oh well...gotta love the guaranteed contracts!

Oh, and yes - the title is a play on that joke construction. The idea came from "the room," so I can't take credit (or blame) for it. I really like the title, though.

yea thats one thing that bothers me about USA, i actually like a couple of their series but this whole play 6 then wait 200000 months is annoying
