What's with the Bengals and their players getting arrested?

It's written into their contracts: "Thou shalt have no respect for the law."

The Commish will probably punish him accordingly with a one game suspension... that comes in Week 2.

don't laugh...this criminal has already established a pattern of decisions that give the Jets as much of an advantage as possible. It's gotten to the point where he's not even trying to hide it anymore. He MUST be removed for the good of the game and the league.

We're going to lose regardless. They have Pacman to lock down Welker or Edelman!!! Oh noes!!!

So if I get this straight, the Bengals will be wearing the orange & black stripes for home games, and the white & black stripes for away (and prison) games? :singing:

that's if the judge lets them leave the state :D

This will definitely result in a suspension for Benson since he is a repeat offender. Though Sheriff Goodell's rationale for suspensions and fines can sometimes be difficult to follow, it's clear that he usually distinguishes between a player's first infraction and those that get sent to the principal's office more than once. Since Benson had those drunk boating and drunk driving incidents that ended his career with the Bears a couple of years ago, obviously he was already on double secret probation. In addition there is a rumor that he did not report the incident to the NFL like he is supposed to do, which if true could add another game or two to his suspension.

Unfortunately for Benson this decision isn't going to help him in his desire for a contract extension that he was looking for about a week ago.

Bottom line is that I can't see him being available for the Pats game. And that means as of this moment, Carson Palmer would be handing off to Bernard Scott, Cedric Peerman or Brian Leonard. I'm guessing there's a good chance Cincinnati will be throwing the ball quite a bit week one; if that's the case we'll find out very quickly what the 2010 Pats pass rush and corners look like.

Marshawn Lynch wants out of Buffalo....sounds like a possibility that if he can continue to say dumb things to the media and get traded to Cincy

Well, he does have the rap sheet for that.
