You know, I really wouldn't be suprised at all if Goodell lifts the suspension on Holmes if we come out in Week 1 and somehow manage to blow out Cincy. I wouldn't be suprised in the least bit.

Ammunition against anyone who gets suspended for the same offense...either hold them to the same standards or don't try to act like you are enforcing any kind of rules in the first place

Goodell's neutrality is definitely in question here. He better give a good excuse on his memo on why he let this slide for a Jets player but not players in similar situations on other teams.

Possible suspensions get dropped too. Just like possible charges could get dropped in a criminal court case.

As much as I would like to say the fix is in, Florio did point out on PFT that Joey Porter didn't get suspended when he was arrested for attacking Levi Jones. Granted he pointed to other players who got suspended for similiar charges in the past when Edwards was first traded which made me think it was a forgone conclusion that he would be suspended.
