I was rooting for him, but oh well.

I liked the look of him from highlights, but from the reports from minicamps, he didn't seem to click.

I thought he had a shot at making the roster, but oh well.

Paschall just couldn't get with the program.

It's pretty much a binary system, you either get it or you don't.

Welcome to the team, Mr. Unga.

Where does this put us for total roster numbers (assuming we sign all of our rookies)? How many more will need to be cut before camp?

It's missing out on more opportunities like this that make his release so sad. :(

There goes his chance of making the PS this year...guess the hype didn't live up to the play.

If this means we will draft Unga in the supplemental draft, I wonder what his role would be for 2010. I could see him as low as the BJGE role and as high as the 2nd rb. (ahead of Morris and Taylor).

There's no end to the internet. This could be an infinite loop...

or at least an Adam Seward.:D

Be interesting to see if someone else will pick him up.

Refreshing subltety early in the morning...

Mike Reiss had this to say when asked about the Pats cutting Paschall:

One theory to consider is how Bill Belichick said this was not an evaluation period, but a teaching period, so perhaps Paschall was having trouble retaining some of the information.

Obviously it's just speculation, but it makes about as much sense as any other theory.

Who knows, maybe North Dakota State has lowered it's educational standards since the days when Steve Nelson attended school there.

I'm sure it was based upon a lot of different factors. Talent (he wasn't drafted for a reason), ability to grasp the concepts the Pats wanted him to learn, likelihood of him beating out one of the other five RBs (versus another player who might have a better shot at a roster spot at their position), etc.

Either that or he slept with Bill O'Brien's wife. We really have no way of knowing.

There's an internal rumor going arount Patriots circles that 'as a prank on rookies' BJGE printed the JETS playbook with the Patriots label on the cover and gave it to Paschall. Developing...
