For anybody that's sick and tired of rehashing the same old topics (i.e., Brady's contract and Mankins' holdout), check out the links provided in the column above. Lots of very good, informative articles on the Pats, their coaches and many of the new players.

Just a couple of responses to the stories:

1.) I seriously doubt that Price has to "fight just to make the team". Short of him sleeping with BB's girlfriend or obviously going Dolly Parton, I don't think there's any chance of him getting cut.

2.) Brady's haircut really does suck.

3.) For the players, their "vacations" aren't really vacations. Hell, they're going to be assigned individualized homework.

4.) If Chung, Butler and Edelman make the sort of leaps that the media seems to be reporting them to have made, the defense should be helped significantly and the offense should have solid depth when Welker returns, along with the ability to play in a lot of varied 4 and 5 wide packages.

5.) O'Brien seems to be on the pathway that should be expected of a young man in his position. While every incompletion will still be 100% his fault, and every running play that doesn't yield a 50 yard touchdown will still be the result of "predictable play calling", he seems to be developing his voice in year 2, in much the same way that McDaniels did. This is a very positive sign for the offense.

6.) The team is passing up a golden opportunity to clarify the Mankins situation.

Yeah, there's no way he gets cut; I don't know why anybody would think differently. The last player drafted by the Pats in the first three rounds that didn't last two full season was the often-injured Brock Williams from the 2001 draft class.

Thanks jmt57. You're right, the articles available were quite refreshing with a lot of great news this morning.

I've been doing these every day, so let me know if everyone is finding these useful.

They are helpful. If it gets to be a hassle for you, you might want to set up a "news bot" to pull them from the web for you.

It's not a hassle. I generally try and read them in the morning now anyway, so I figured by arranging them in this format it might be useful to others. The problem with a "news bot" is it obviously doesn't tell you what the article is about or give any real information. I try and do it in a way that has everything organized and gives you a general idea of what happened, etc. That way even if you don't have time to read the links, at least when you're done reading the blog post you more or less have a feel for all the headlines on a given day.

I think the major challenge may be when the season gets here, but I'll work around it. I'm just glad to see that people are actually reading them

I look forward to them. It's nice to be able to come to this site and fine all of my daily Patriots goodness, and not have to scour the web myself. Saves me time, and you have a nose for interesting stories, and that's always a good thing.

Thanks from the bleachers for doing this. :)

Price reminds me of Anthony Gonzalez. I think he'll be that type of player, hopefully better.
