As the practice concluded and players gathered in one large huddle, receiver Randy Moss raised his arm in the air and players yelled out in unison, signifying the end of an important phase of the team's offseason program.
As he has throughout the last three weeks, receiver Wes Welker worked in individual drills before departing as the Patriots got into team drills. Upset with himself for dropping a pass across the middle, Welker wound up and attempted to kick the ball through the uprights.
Um, wouldn't that put a bunch of pressure on his ACL? Should him attempting kicks be viewed a really good news?

Aaron Hernandez making a fast impression. The rookie tight end made a very nice catch in 7 on 7 work, on the back end of a beautifully thrown ball from Tom Brady. Hernandez was deep down the left sideline when Brady dropped the ball in between cornerback Terrence Wheatley and safety James Sanders. Tough throw. Tough catch. Every practice, it seems, Hernandez is showing up as a pass-catcher. He had one noticeable drop today, but also was on the receiving end of a touchdown pass from Brian Hoyer (with safety Brandon McGowan the closest player in coverage).
I keep hearing great stuff about Rookie TE Hernandez, what about the Gronk? Like any camps we've had you always here about this certain player at a position making good progress, then when the season starts its the other guy that makes a splash. Hope the Gronk has the last laugh!
In full-squad scrimmage simulation, the play of the day was made by rookie TE Rob Gronkowski. In a red-zone situation, Gronkowski ran what looked like a skinny-post pattern, but was surrounded by about four blue-shirted defenders. Nevertheless, quarterback Tom Brady fired a pass in Gronkowski’s direction, albeit a bit high and slightly behind him. The 6-6 Gronkowski made a great adjustment, twisting his body 180-degrees counterclockwise while leaping and extending for the ball in between the converging defense. Gronkowski came down with the ball and crossed the goal line without breaking stride.
Side note: Is this Ron Brace on the left hand side of this pic? If so, it looks as if he's lost some weight.

Also looks as if he doesn't know what day it is.
This question just occurred to me since Price's has fallen behind the learning curve because of missing OTA's has been mentioned several times. Did the same thing happen to Julian Edelman LAST season. He also went to college in OH? Just wondering.
COLUMBUS – The Ohio State University will soon join the ranks of Ohio's other 12 four-year universities when it switches to a semester-based academic year in Autumn 2012.
Hmm did you read the article you posted?
In addition, Ohio State will work with other universities that are changing to semesters, including Wright State, Ohio University, the University of Cincinnati and Columbus State Community College.
