Moss feeling the heat

The next time someone calls Moss a "dog-faker" (what that is, I still don't know...) they should be forced to watch this video, and then attempt to do everything in this video.

Thanks for posting that. Man, these guys work hard. Seeing him out of pads and helmet up close, gives us a chance to appreciate how fast and strong a guy like Moss is.

I just have so much respect for NFL players when I think about how much they have to give and how hard they have to work to get to stay in the league, let alone be among its elite. That's a real eye opener.

Yeah and not just Moss. We (myself included) think nothing of criticizing a player when he messes up or drops a step, but these guys have to work incredibly hard and play at an incredible level just to stay in the league, let alone excel.

there was a story out there a few years back about a guy heckling Moss at some club about a couple dropped passes. I believe it was Moss, but I wouldn't put money on it. Sure sounds like him, though.

Anyway, Moss goes to the guy and says "I tell you what. Let's go outside. I'm gonna put my helmet on you, and have you go out 10 yards. You have one of your friends throw you the football. I'm gonna stand beside you. Just before the ball gets to you, I'm gonna wallop you upside the head with a baseball bat. If you can still catch that ball, I'll personally bring you into the coach's office and tell him to sign you up."

Guy shut up and went back to drinking.

After reading of Mass' injuries and seeing him play last year, I won't ever say a cross word about him on the field. He has my respect.

Moss' work ethic is second to none. I knew this before this video was posted but it's apparent now. His offseason program/conditioning has been on the level of T.O. since he started in this league. The problem is that Moss doesn't get the coverage for it that T.O. does because it's been planted in most peoples' minds (average fans and media alike) that Moss is "lazy". Clearly he's not THAT lazy.

Does anybody remember where the term "dog-faker" came from? Did a poster or a reporter-journalist make that up? I remember that classic post that went on for weeks.

Wow what a monster!

I love this guy, and am thrilled he is a part of our team. I hope he stays after this season, but if he doesn't I have fully appreciated the 3 (soon to be 4) years of awesome he's given us.

Just think if he was traded here instead of to the Raiders back in 05...or if we had traded for him instead of Doug Gabriel in 06.

I'm glad to see Moss get this out there for people to see. I think a lot of fans see him as a "dog-faker" and it's so far from the truth. You just can't be a top receiver in the NFL year after year if you play half-ass. The dude came from a rural, poor town in West Virginia and grew up without a father - so yes, he has had a tough time handling himself at times - but it's just amazing how people continue to dump on him.

I sure wish that Moss-bashing douchebags such as Felger watch this. And yes Felger could use a few shots to head (wearing a helmut of course). The mediots have no idea what kind of abuse the players take.

Excellent videos, thanks for posting.

Most of you have probably seen this, but how could you not respect a guy like this:
YouTube - The Real Randy Moss - Part 1 - From The Moss Method

Randy Moss deserves a ring, and I pray he gets one...whether with the Patriots or without, but very preferably with :rocker:

Thanks for posting, that was awesome.

I have to say the ignorance level of those who hate on Moss is just about on par with those who hate on the Pats for "Spygate" etc.--just a total lack of knowledge about the subject that they are hating on.

He's dogging it.

Sometimes Moss Looks like hes jogging and not trying but I assume it's because he is tired and being double covered. If he is not going to get open, why kill yourself so you are dead for the next play? It isn't about Moss being Lazy. I Love Moss and hope he and the Patriots can work something out next year.

Regarding that "jogging". Next time you watch film of him running, notice how long both his legs and his stride are. It's an illusion that he's "jogging" because his speed is pretty doggone good, but his lankiness and long stride make you think he's slower than he really is.
