You may have noticed I added a couple of features today, nothing major. Other sites have them and I thought it would be good to have them here.

1) Moods - You can select your own mood now underneath your username. This isn't required, and you can leave it as "none" if you prefer. I'll be making some new ones, so they'll be somewhat less lame in the coming weeks.

2) Profile Status - If anyone uses any of the social media sites, you're probably familiar with the concept. Underneath your username is now an "edit" button, which you can click and add a status if you'd like. If not, just ignore it - but it's there for the people who want to use it.

3) LiveTopic - This feature was disabled due to the fact that it was taxing the server at busy times and unfortunately just couldn't stay due to the amount of Ajax database calls it made. The author has since changed the number of queries executed, and also restricted it to only logged in users - which should hopefully keep the load much lower. As a result I have upgraded it, and it's been reinstalled and enabled.

For those who don't know how it works, if a thread becomes busy, the "LiveTopic" icon will appear, and anyone who is viewing the thread will magically see the posts appear in real-time, almost like a chat. So instead of sitting there refreshing a thread, just leave it open and you'll see new posts appear automatically.

4) Posting Frequency - This one's pretty self explanatory. The more you post, the further the bar will go.

I'm working on a couple of other things, and I'll announce those here as well as soon as anything new is added.

Also - I posted a thread yesterday regarding any site issues. I've gotten a couple of reports of the board crashing browsers. If you're having this problem, please post to this thread:

I noticed that you added options to what people can do when they click on a poster's name. There is also an option available for putting a person on ignore in that same manner. I don't know if that's something you'd have interest in adding, but I thought I'd mention it.

Also, any news on if/when a "rep" system will return?

Both this site and Florio's site (PFT) occasionally crash IE 8 on me, on computers using either XP or Windows 7. Not always, but often enough to be annoying. No other sites I usually visit cause the same crash.

Not sure why.

Occasionally I use Forefox or Chrome and I haven't seen them crash, but I also don't use them as often.

If a rep system does return, don't make it anonymous anymore. I'd like to see who gives me reps. It's just that I used to get reps like, "you're a douche" with no username next to it. In that case, I'd want to see who it is for ignore purposes.

I agree. I thought it was annoying to see who gives you bad/good rep points but you didn't know who it was. However, nobody on this board will ever make me put them on ignore. In the end, it's just a messageboard.

The most underrated feature is thread tags (if they're still here). Theres a Liverpool site I read (although not a member) and some of the tags they put on have me crying.

Thread tags got turned off due to out of town fans coming in and posting inappropriate things - which is why they got turned off. I may re-enable them now that most of them have filtered out of here.

I'm still working on that. The problem with the rep system is that it was so abused, that when I do bring it back in I want to make sure there are some safegaurds in place to prevent the same problem we had before from happening again.

Aslong as it doesn't over step the mark I think the replies to such things are what makes it funny. Saying that though the site I mention anything goes, I wouldn't go near it if you'e got thin skin :D

Still, nice touches Ian. :)

Sir, I kindly request the "mood" of Awesome to be added as that is the only mood I am capable of.
Thank you and good day.

Sounds good. I'll add that to the list

Nothing personal but I find this somewhat annoying since we already have "Custom User Title". I suppose if I had an option to hide it like signatures I would be happier :D

LiveTopic doesn't work for me in Safari. I just get a large blank white space where the new post would be, and then I have to refresh to make the post show up.
