Just looking at the schedule and noticed that there are no back to back home games, only 1 back to back road games. Has this happened before with any other team? Pats will be constantly flying every week. Just odd, thats all. Sorry if someone already posted this.

I noticed that too. Stinks for me, I usually try to get back to see 2 home games over an 8 day period.

Well, if you were in the States using 9/19 as one away (away against the Jets), you could still hit two games with minimal travel. It's Bengals the week before and Bills the week after.

That's true. I'd feel nervous being at a game in NY. I guess I'd just keep my yapper shut.

The advantage of going to the Bengals game is its opening day. The advantage of going to the Bills game is that my parents-in-law will be visiting us in China then.

Bills FTW!

I dont know if i'd go to a Jets game, but i've been to the Bills stadium and it was fine. The Bills fans were too busy b*tching at each other about their team stinking, to notice me or my dad in our Pats gear.

That would set PJ up for the last 3 weeks of the season... Buffalo on 12/26, with the Packers at Gillette the week before, and the Dolphins coming on 1/2/2011.

Buffalo's a longer trip than NYC, though.

Im curious to see if the Pack have improved this year. Those last two weeks might be 'must-wins'.

edit, i miss-read that. The Pack is 3rd to last game.....we still need that win anyway. lol.

That would be perfect... alas, I'll be in New Zealand with the family Dec 19 - Jan 2.

I think the @ NYJ + vs Bills idea may have some legs! It's what I call a win-win-no-in-laws-win. Great thinking, DI.

I'd probably go incognito. I've seen Jets fans get into it with Pats fans in NE, never mind on their home turf. I have a feeling a NE jersey would be like a target in NY.

Conversely, it also means that the Patriots face no extended time on the road. And that is good.

If you studied the schedule you might have noticed that virtually all the toughest games and opponents are played at Gillette. Only the Steelers and Chargers are faced on the road.

But if a home game is worth 3 points, as the Vegas touts say, then the Pats have three point advantages on the Colts, (Finally!), Bengals, Vikings, Ravens, and Packers, as well as the usual home and way series with the Jets and Dolphins. In the case of the Jets, they get them at their place, when Santonio Holmes is on his League suspension, balancing off the loss of Welker early in the season too.

Other significant scheduling issues are they play Miami early in the season while it still hot in Miami, but it is a night game, mitigating the advantage that Miami usually has from the oppressive summer heat. OTOH, the Dolphins come to Gillette in cold January, which they never like to do.

About the only drawback to the schedule is that they play the Steelers at Pitt after Rothlesberger returns from his suspension.

OTOH, assuming Welker is PUPed for 6 weeks, the Pats will face the Ravens, Chargers, Vikings, Steelers, Jets, Packers, and Dolphins after he presumably returns; and all the newcomers and draftees have had half a season to acclimate. I always believe that Belichick's Patriots get tougher as the season wears on.

I think the Ravens game at Gillette at midseason may be a preview of the AFCCG, and a competition to see where that AFCCG game is played. If not, the Colts game at Gillette later, may serve to preview the AFCCG and alternatively decide the venue. This year the Colts won't have quite the cakewalk that they are used to having in their Division. Both the Titans and Texans look like much tougher clubs.

I've gone many times, nothing to worry about. Green Beans fans are all either 5-foot-1, 98 pounds (the men) or 5-4, 350 pounds (the women). Just watch out for any of the drunk women falling down the steps on you and you'll be fine.

Got it, thanks for the heads up.

You should be good. I went up to a Jets game with a few friends when I was 18 or 19. I wore my stuff. We got some sh!t talked to us but nothing out of the ordinary. That was the last non-Miami game I ever went to in order to see the Pats.

Watch out for the Green Beans yelling at your woman, too (if applicable) ;)

What about the week 17 and our first play-off game? Two home games in a row :)
