I'm surprised at how many media members he ripped by name.

Completely agree. Is this real? You rarely see a NFL QB speak this candidly..

Re: Nice to see Rodger's respects Brady's play

Very interesting. Didn't expect to read those types of things coming from a guy like Rodgers.

It's not that I doubt the veracity of Rodgers' claims that Kornheiser was not prepared, but it is an eye opener that he would rip him personally, and espn as a whole so publicly. Yes, I know Brady called espn out with his comment that they are mtv without the highlights, but I think that was a bit different. First, espn had put Brady's team through the skewer on a daily basis for several months with a lot of unfounded speculation. Second, Brady's comment was directed to the network as a whole and not a single individual. Kornheiser did say that 'this is a great gamble of the 2008 season, the Packers cutting loose Brett Favre and going with Aaron Rodgers', but it's not as if he was either the only one saying it at the time, or the loudest voice asking that question then.

It's nice to hear athletes give candid responses rather than the typical generic responses that say nothing, but still, this is somewhat surprising to me.

Good for him! Hasn't been the media's baby-darling so doesn't see the need to go running after them now. Quite right. Now, if he'd only lose that stupid 'tache ...

Rodgers is an exceptional young talent, if he can keep his play up he'll be very good in his prime. He's got a great arm once (his deepball suffers in the postseason but I'd blame that on him being nervous) and great mobility, kinda like a mini-Steve Young. If we didn't have Brady, he'd probably be one of ny favorite active QBs.

And him liking my favorite, makes me like him even more.

What idiot dosent respect Brady? If your a die hard Pats fan like me and u dont respect and love Brady then u have no reason being a pats fan. As far as Rodgers, I like this kid. He reminds me a lot of a young Brady. The work he puts in is amazing. Smart move on his part respecting the legend that Brady is. I know people who like other NFL teams and they always say as much as they hate the Pats for being so good, if Brady or Belichick came to there team they would love it. Respect New England RESPECT IT! Aaron Rodgers is a good player and could be the next Brady some day. Tony Kornheiser is a joke and should be shot and killed. Espn is a joke also so of course they would keep him on PTI.

I have always liked Aaron Rodgers. Fair play to him. Its nice to see players bite back sometimes. Hopefully that Green Bay O-line protects him a little better this year. Just maybe not week 15.

Ahh yes, I forgot about playing the packers this coming season. No worries. The Packers O-line sucks. Dont really know how strong they got this past draft but I hope for Rodgers sake that they are better. He got destroyed last season. He took more hits in the Vikings game on the road then I ever seen before. :bricks:

Wow! Way too honest about the media, there, Aaron. Better watch your back.

I like his attitude.

Interesting that he mentions Peyton almost like an afterthought.

awesome. kornheiser is awful. These talking heads that people listen to because they're on TV don't know **** most of the time. and we'll allll sit here debating about what they say..kinda like how our government works..

Thats because Peyton IS an afterthought. He wins one super bowl beating a very bad bears team. If the Colts faced any other team that year he would still be compared to Dan Marino as having numbers but no super bowl rings.

Back to the original topic, it was somewhat interesting that Brady was singled out by Rodgers, and Manning was almost an afterthought, mentioning him last. The interviewers seemed to almost have a 'what, really?' attitude to their questions at that point.

For those that haven't listened to the interview, Rodgers lists Brady as his top NFL quarterback, and other in the top five are, in no particular order, Drew Brees, Tony Romo, Philip Rivers, and Peyton Manning. He says Brady is the best because of "he does things other guys can't do: his pocket presence is better than any of those other guys by far; he throws a better ball; he's a winner, better than all those other guys." Rodgers also goes on to say Brady is 'one of the best ever, without a doubt'. The host asks 'like Joe Montana best ever?' and Rodgers says 'right.'

Well, anyone who doesn't like Kornheiser is a friend of mine.

That's been my position for a lot of years now. For me, feeling that way about Brady is why the Manning lovers are so much fun to tweak....

9-9!

Holy shi-poop! Live-topic is back!

Um yeah, not many people don't respect Brady's game (Unless they're morons).

Be carefull Jack, you're wanted by both the US and Russians after that vicious killing spree. Glad you wasted that witch mole though. I agree with Rogers that Dennis Miller was unapreciated on MNF.

I could steer you to some fanbases....

I too like seeing athletes speak more honestly. I often wonder what the point is of interviewing athletes when 99% of them say the same things over and over but this is stuff I like reading; actual opinions. Rodgers is one of my favorite non-Patriots right now and I'm glad to hear he respects & appreciates Brady.
