I said it.

I wish he was our starter. So much more intensity on the court.

Plus he does just about everything better.

keep drinking whatever it is you're smashed on..

you're an azz-hat ... you need a mulligan.

Rondo is better but I hope we do resign nate for the next couple seasons as he gives us a great scorer off the bench and his energy is crazy.....Plus he is buying into the defensive system (Who'd a thought that???)

I think we're already over the cap for next year ... it will be hard but he brings energy and that's what a good backup will give.

Robinson was the kick in the butt they needed in Game 6 but he is not better than Rondo.

Rondo is almost at the border between very good and great, Robinson is simply above average to good.

Another "look at me" post. Hmmmmm, your opion vs Magic Johnson's (Rondo = best pg in the league), tough to choose.

Yeah, we definitely would be better served with a shoot-first PGthan w/Rondo...

I'm not sure why I clicked on one of Pessimistic Pete's threads.

he needs to be a starter somewhere for sure...........just not here. too good not to be starting for another team though

Perhaps in the Guatemalan league ... where he may be able to post up on someone else for a change.

Seriously ... I like Nate ... but to be a starter he would have to have supporting pieces around him and he's not good enough to have a team built around him.

No - actually he doesn't need to be a starter... when he starts trying to be "the man" he often makes some very bad choices and puts up some very bad shots

His intensity is great - he's an exceptional 6th man and the best backup PG we could hope for... in short his situtation with the Celts is what he needs... what he wants is to be a starter and get starter's $$$

But ultimately I think it's a given that some team in need of a very good PG will give him a much better contract offer than the Celts can... and he won't be back

As much as I hate to say it I think you are correct...His stock has risen in these playoffs with a couple good games....He has shown that he can play within a disciplined offense and still score when needed.....

I would really love for him to come back next season as he gives us great energy off the bench and can rest rondo throughout the season and help extend his playing career with less bumps and bruises.....

I think danny Ainge has done one hell of a job when taking chances on certain players like Sheed and Nate and them working out on this team....Although having the veteran leadership on PP, KG and RA doesn't hurt either......

Absolutely no doubt that his stock has risen... and I REALLY like him as a 6th man

But I think last night, as pleased as we all are with the outcome and as pleased as we were with his points, actually gave a perfect illustration of some bad decision making on Robinson's part

He gambled and lost on occasion, and we paid the price in points by the Lakers - defensive lapses that Robinson will certainly hear about from Doc

He also took some bad shots when others with better looks were open (making some and missing others) and no GM likes to see Technical Fouls

... I'll take the good with the bad over his 17 minutes of play, knowing that he give Rondo a needed rest and brings in a new level of energy off the bench

But those mistakes are magnified if he's a starter playing 35 minutes

If a GM is looking for an energetic point guard who doesn't have the best decision making skills, then Robinson is a perfect fit... but most GMs specifically want a PG with excellent decision making skills

That's why Robinson is coming off the bench - and the role he's playing here is the one he's best suited to play.., but I agree - somewhere, someone will give him the opportunity to earn a starting position and that's what Robinson wants.

Once again, my point proven last night. Just like I said in the first post, the INTENSITY Nate Robinson brings to the game is un-matched.

Again, someone tell me what Rondo does better? Perhaps at passing the ball around but Nate has gotten much better in that regard.

Rondo can't even shoot free throws!
