Have people forgotten that the more underestimated the Patriots are the better they seem to play?
Don't worry about preseason predictions; you'll give yourself a stroke if you do. How many times over the last decade were the Redskins supposed to win it all? Last year the consensus was either the Pats or Steelers would win the Super Bowl while the Titans would take the AFC South and the Colts would miss the playoffs; how did that work out? Look at how many had the Saints winning it all in '07 after their playoff run the previous season, only to see them go 7-9 - and then had them missing the playoffs and watching Atlanta win the NFC South last year.
No point in getting worked up over preseason predictions, or who somebody with a column, website or magazine is "disrespecting" the Pats.
After reading this i hope they were good drugs you were picking upToday in the store waiting for some meds I was flipping through the athleon (sp) "preview" and they picked to finish 3rd in the divison and not even make the playoffs. I know it doesn't matter at all I just wanted to share what I saw.
I'm not sure what the big deal is, or why this is surprising to people. It's still only May, the Jets and Dolphins made bigger name additions, and the Patriots suffered the biggest losses (Until his return, Welker will be the biggest loss of all, for example).
The Jets are a .500 team.
