Teel was the odd man out in Seattle when they signed J.P. Losman this week. Was drafted in the 6th round out of Rutgers by the Seahawks in 2009, spent the entire season as their 3rd QB/inactive.

Jeff Rowe and Robbie Agnone were both guys the Pats signed to their practice squad mid-season last year.

...The Patriots currently have 73 players signed to their active roster. That number does not include Burgess, who hasn't officially signed, as well as Bret Lockett (ERFA), Gary Guyton (ERFA), and Logan Mankins (RFA), who have not yet signed their tenders. It also does not include the 11 draft picks who haven't yet signed (all except Larsen).

A live arm.

But, interception city.

Interesting that Wikipedia already has him listed as signing with the Pats.

Would you expect anything different, in the age of Twitter and instant information?

I am not a big fan of teal so hopefully I like Teel more.

The Rowe Era is Ovah!!!!!!!

Yeah, this isn't quite as exciting as the trades of Matt Cassel or Drew Bledsoe.

But who knows, perhaps the release of quarterback Jeff Rowe and the pickup of Mike Teel from the Seahawks will change the course of Patriots franchise.

Teel first broke the news on Twitter, and it has since been confirmed by his agent. He has an uphill battle to make the Patriots roster.

New England also cut tight end Robbie Agnone.

more arms in camp, less reps for you-know-who.

Teel gives the Pats 4 Qbs.

Brady, Hoyer, Robinson and Teel. That's a good amount

after watching Teel for the last 4 years, I hope for the boards sake he never sees the field.

I thought he had some good games (the ones I saw), but seeing your location (and avatar), I'll defer to you. ;)

Don't give in too easily. I thought Teel was an excellent prospect coming out of Rutgers. I liked Rowe a lot too, but I think Teel is better. He'll benefit from some consistent coaching.

Incidently, did anybody read the story on JeMarcus Russell today (I don't remember where I saw it...I'll look for it shortly and post the link).

There was a bit about Andrew Walter, and when he came here he didn't last, because the Patriots figured it would take too long to undo all the bad habits he picked up from the Raiders. Good perspective of just how much poor coaching can hurt a promising career. After Petrino left Louisville, Teel regressed badly.

So Teel is a reclamation project? Well he can't be as bad as Russell... At least we didn't spend a pick for him.

I remember watching draft highlights of this guy and being blown away by one of his WRs. When I found out who that WR was, I knew I wasn't crazy.

Sheesh ... I had Agnone and Rowe in my 53 ... :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Am I missing something here?

What wide receiver are you talking about?
