Christopher Gasper's run away Anti - Patriot agenda was on full display on tonights 6:30pm Comcast NE Sports Tonight.

The first topic of the night was "what happened to Lebron James". With film of last nights Celtics win playing, Gasper claimed that "Lebron quit like Randy Moss". Michael Holley and Tanguay came back on topic, only to have Gasper repeat, "Lebron quit like Randy Moss". After Holley again brought the topic back to the Celtics and Lebron, I almost fell out of my chair as Gasper said for the THIRD time, "Lebron quit like Randy Moss". So much for the Celtics chat.

After the commercial break, the subject turned to the Patriots. Gasper stated that "Brady was wrong when he said that the Patriots failed last season because they didn't listen to their coach". Michael Holley, stuck up for Brady, saying that "Brady was in the locker room and in the huddle, and that Brady knows what he is talking about." Gasper replies, "Oh Yeah. When Brady fumbled and blew the Denver game, was that because he was not listening to the coach, or because he didn't execute?" Gasper reiterated that Brady is just making excuses.

Just curious about something here. Was Gasper the guy who immediately called racism when that kid wore the Randy Moss mask?

The very fact that he is a featured columnist for a major newspaper speaks volumes about the state of the print-media industry. Everything he writes is hot garbage riddled with inaccuracies and sometimes, oddly enough, grammar and spelling mistakes. He's a joke with no insight.

I gave that guy the odd read as he was Robin to Reiss' Batman. Honestly, not sure I've read single thing he's written since Mike moved on to ESPNB.

For me, Reiss, Price, and a sprinkling of Rappaport is plenty of solid Pats reporting for me. Though it will be soon time to listen to WEEI while working/travelling. That's a total crapshoot, as you all know.

Agreed. I think Reiss is excellent.

How did Gasper go from B-blogger on Reiss' Pieces to a columnist? He has yet to say or write an insightful thing about the Patriots any time I've even glanced at him. It's funny how full of himself he is now.

Wonder how long it took him to come up with that Moss line. Clearly he wanted to make sure someone heard it. "Yeah Chris we heard it the first two times, it just wasn't funny. Why don't you quit trying to make bad jokes like you think Randy Moss, separated shoulder and all, quit on the Patriots?"

The segment was awkward for both Holley and Tanguay, who were discussing the Celtics, not the Patriots. Later, during the Patriots segment, Gasper repeated his opinion more than once that listening to Belichick more would not be of benefit to the team. He managed to trash BB, Brady and Moss all in one epidsode.

Not sure what gave birth to this Anti-Patriot sentiment. This is well beyond even Ron Borges.

Ya, he's heading down the felgie path. It funny how these media guys feel they have to be either a kool aid drinking stooge or a DB contrarian.

Gaspar's blog is pretty good. He takes on a bit more of the national new. Not as imformative as reiss but still worth a look in. Often the posts are seemingly indenticle. Hmmmmmm

I want someone, anyone, to accurately document a single time that Tom Brady has made an excuse for his, or his team's, shortcomings. Good luck finding one of those.

There are people who are bad at all sorts of jobs. Hey Gasper, you're one of them. Hope you're proud.

yeah, brady already said coach told them to make sure they didn't turn the ball over, then he fumbled it --- that's not listening.

anyway, gasper just says this stuff because it gets attention, and he's in the business of being an attention whore.
he's like that nitwit who had a big chicago career ripping people in the sun times --- he's on tv now, I think.

Yes. He found it offensive. Odd that it was a Randy Moss product and I think the 12-year-old youth is African-American.

I'm waiting for Gasper to take off his mask and reveal a 12 year old.

He's got a great name though...for a grasper of straws...Gasper the Grasper

Total cop out on Brady's part. The fact is, Brady had his worst season since 2002 in terms of to closing out games. I don't know if he said this or not but he should've blamed himself for the team's collapse as well. How about his carelessness with the football against Baltimore? It looked like he couldn't wait for the season to end.

Yeah let's hate Gasper because he has an opinion, an opinion that doesn't favor the Pats. If you don't like what he said, don't even think about it. In fact, even if it favors the Pats, you have to take everything with a grain of salt. A lot of you guys on this board need to stop taking what anybody says negatively about the Pats so personal.

I'd take anybody that wants to speak their mind any day of the week over someone that just relays whatever is given to them by the Pats.

so then you are a big fan of Tomase and what he wrote the week of the Super Bowl against the Giants?...and of course Tony Masserotti and the numerous hatchet job columns he put to print that whole season?..and you agree with Greg Easterbrook and his hit pieces that flowed from S.I.?...thanks but no thanks...being a homer is NOT a negative thing to be and no matter how you try year after year to twist it, the fact remains that there are the haters of the Patriots success and then there are PATRIOT FANS who don't mind admitting they are unabashedly "homers" and will remain so through thick and thin....something that is almost certainly an alien concept to you.

You sound like Chris Gasper. :)

Same here. And I'm shocked at this kind of thing coming from him... I really thought he was going to be Edelman to Reiss' Welker. :(

First, if I remember correctly in several losses this season Brady was the first to take the blame for the loss. Brady is not pointing the finger at others without pointing the blame directly at himself. I know Brady took the blame for the Denver loss.

Second, what Brady was talking about was an issue with this team for all or a large part of the season and not individual games. Yes, there were individual games where a large portion of the blame fell on his shoulders, but it was clear that there was an overall team problem for large portion of the year.

Third, Gasper is wrong. From what it is reported in this thread, he is trying to paint Brady as some kind of hypocrite who is trying to throw his teammates under the bus to deflect blame from him. Brady has no problem putting the blame on his shoulders and has even done it to deflect blame from his teammates. He is just talking about a culture change that desperately needed for the team. If Brady wasn't able to take blame himself for losses, it would be one thing. But Brady doesn't do that.

Brady has no problem taking blame for his mistakes. That wasn't what he is talking about. He is talking culture issues that need to be addressed.

Jeez, at the very least read a damn transcript of what Brady said. You've made a fool out of yourself.

No thanks, I don't care what he has to say because I saw the evidence on the field and in the standings.
