Why does BB not draft USC players?

No idea if it has to do with the school, but I thought USC's Jeff Byers would have made a lot more sense than Ted Larsen at the end of the 6th. Maybe they were just looking for a player with more upside rather than what they could immediately contribute.

I think that is the case. That is probably why they took Price over Gilyard.

Scheme! Scheme! Scheme!

There is something about the schemes emplyed by Ohio State and USC that BB absolutely can not stand. Both schools use a 4-3 and both blitz liberally and both rely on man in the secondary.

It seems BB just does not want to invest the time and resources to re-program kids from these type schools.

Yeah I agree. I think the acquisition of Holt had something to do with that too. Without Holt on board, I think we would have made a move up to get a polished NFL-ready WR like Tate or Damian Williams. Holt gave us the option to go after a more risky pick IMO.

Maybe the cost of supporting their steroid regimen was just too high.

Beat me to it. Cushing's suspension was the first thing to come to mind when I saw the thread title.
